Critical: Professionalism, QualityI got tape in extensions, and I was led on throughout the whole 10 month process that the extensions would work with my curly, textured hair. This is not the case even in the slightest; at every check in appointment my stylist would rip the tape-ins out of my hair resulting in severe hair loss. While I was getting my curly hair brushed, which you’re definitely not supposed to do with a regular comb, the stylist started from top to bottom, ripping out my hair in CHUNKS. The stylist almost ripped out my earrings multiple times from combing so aggressively. Overall this was a huge waste of money and I was completely led on. Now my natural hair is severely thinner and it’s hard to style now. Do your research, that’s all I can say. By far the worst customer service experience I’ve had from any salon. I would have given a 0 star rating if I could. I was so disappointed in this salon. I had really high hopes and was really excited to get on the calendar for a Bridal Trial.. I attempted to reach out at the end of June to schedule a hair and makeup trial for my wedding. The Moon Room got back to me almost immediately saying that my date was open and asked me to submit a trial form. After struggling with the website, I was able to complete the form a couple days later…. No response. So I reached out again via email a week later… No response. So then I called in and the lady who answered the phone said they still had my date open and someone would get back to me that day… They didn’t. I finally received an email on 07/15 saying “Sorry for the delay. We haven’t forgotten you… We’ll get back to you shortly.. Just confirming with one of our stylists.”…. It’s now 08/31 and I have heard nothing. Luckily, I gave up by mid-July and booked a fabulous set of artists elsewhere.

I don’t know about other people but sometimes when you walk into a salon you can feel a catty vibe but you can tell there’s just genuinely nice people that work here and want you to be happy and feel your best when you’re there and when you leave.

I just had an absolute horrible experience here. This was my second visit with Tavia to get my hair colored. She was 15 minutes late, then had a very stressful energy & when I explained what I wanted, she gave me attitude & was super rude & I felt very uncomfortable. After 5 minutes of discussion & she just kept being stern & rude to me, treating me like I’m less than her, not as her “elder” or even equal. I would never go to this young stylist with such a negative attitude & she charges more than anyone I’ve ever been to from SF, Mill Valley or LA!!!!! You should be getting top notch services for what they charge here, NOT PURE STRESS!
