Critical: Professionalism, QualityMy daughter needed an emergency cut to fix my attempt at trimming split ends at home. I called Monroe Hair Lounge and they were able to schedule an appointment the same day. When we walked in, the two stylists were friendly, but it almost seemed like ours (Amber) had forgotten we were coming.She took my daughter to the chair, put the apron-type cover on her, then turned her attention to her phone for a few minutes. As a self-employed stylist, she might’ve had other clients asking for appointments or something, but it took awhile before she turned her attention to the client in the chair. The chair and apron still had hair on it from the last cut, and the area around her work station was not generally clean.After washing my daughters hair and reseating her, she stepped away to finish the root color she had started on the other stylist before we arrived. After they were finished, she turned her attention to my daughter, who wanted to cut about six inches off her waist length hair.The posted “long-hair” cut and style is $35, but she charged me $40 because my daughter had long hair, which I didn’t quite understand.Anyway, the initial cut looked fine and my daughter was happy with it, until the next day when she styled it. The cut is very uneven, with a section of hair in the back that was much longer than the rest.
