I normally don’t write reviews good or bad but this is the second review I have ever written but it was needed to be known to others of my experience today. After taking a day off work for a scheduled appointment and driving nearly an hour and a half to get to the place they said they were short a person because they called out of work today and could not see me today, they didn’t even have the courtesy to give me a call to say they were short staff and that they needed to reschedule. Yet they will be quick at charging you if you do not cancel in advance – sad to see that they have no care for your scheduled confirmed appointment and did not even try to get me in after I even said I’ll wait as long as needed since I was already there. Very disappointing….one more thing to add, they didn’t even apologize for the inconvenience – poor service today. Normally I have never had a problem with them but today they just seemed to NOT CARE AT ALL.

Positive: Communication, Professionalism, QualityI began my journey with The Medical Spa on February 4, 2021. I was skeptical at first that this would be just another gimmick but I have to say I was completely blown away after my first 30 days. I was down 14lbs and felt amazing. I am to the end of my next 30 days and according to my scales at home, I am down 27 lbs. If anyone knows me, I have never been one to stick to something but this is easy, I take a pill in the morning and it curbs my appetite all day. I even have the energy to work out, which I haven’t done in years. I look forward to the next 30 and the progress this has helped me achieve now and beyond. Its a lifestyle change for the better and I am never getting off of this train.Update: Jan 2022- down 70 lbs and I feel amazing. If you haven’t taken the leap, why wait, what do you have to lose? I began my journey with The Medical Spa on February 4, 2021. I was skeptical at first that this would be just another gimmick but I have to say I was completely blown away after my first 30 days. I was down 14lbs and felt amazing. I am to the end of my next 30 days and according to my scales at home, I am down 27 lbs. Initially going for laser hair removal I visited the Gaston medical spa on two occasions for laser treatment. After the first session I had no problems and results lasted for about two to three months. The next session was a horrible experience. A couple of days after the second laser treatment I suffered from ulcers and blisters on the treated area (from the laser treatment). I visited urgent care as well as my primary care doctor in order to resolve the issue. Having been prescribed an antibiotic as well as ointment for the ulcerated area, the area began to heal from the treatment about a week later. The staff at the medical spa were horrible to work with during this encounter. At one point I was told I would not be getting my money back (for appointments I had yet to even schedule for the treatment). The staff were not understanding of the problem nor sympathetic to say the least. After finally getting a refund I still receive calls and emails after asking to be removed from all of their services. One of the most unprofessional and frustrating experiences I have ever had to deal with. Looking back, I was never informed of side effects or possibilities of breakouts after laser hair removal. To conclude, make sure you know what you’re getting into before laser hair, do your own research, and understand that if your skin rejects the treatment (like mine did) this facility as well as the staff DO NOT know how to manage such situation.
