Acne Scars
As we age, acne scars often become more noticeable because our skin loses collagen. The key to effective treatment is to select the best one for each scar type. For example, a patient who has some deep scars may benefit from getting a filler, which adds volume to the skin. This may be followed by laser treatments. Even when we do our best to prevent acne scars, some people scar. There are many treatment options, which can significantly diminish depressed and raised acne scars. Treatments include laser treatments, minor skin surgeries, chemical peels, and fillers. These treatments can diminish acne scars that cause depressions in the skin and also safely reduce raised acne scars. Botox® for Aesthetics
In 2002 the world of cosmetic medicine changed forever with the introduction of Botox Cosmetic (Onabotulinum Toxin A). This toxin (Botulinum Toxin) is produced by the bacteria Clostridium botulinum. Botox is a neurotoxin (also called ‘neuromodulator’). It blocks nerve impulses thereby preventing movement of facial muscles. In doing so it removes wrinkles in the brow, forehead and around the eyes. Botox has a wide array of uses other than paralysis of the facial muscles. It can be used it to raise the eyebrows or the corners of the mouth, for treatment of ‘smoker’s lines’ around the mouth, wrinkles in the chin and neck as well as for excessive sweating (hyperhidrosis) under the arms.
Botox® for Hyperhidrosis
Onabotulinumtoxin A (Botox) is a natural, purified protein with the ability to temporarily block the secretion of the chemical that is responsible for “turning on” the body’s sweat glands. By blocking, or interrupting, this chemical messenger, botulinum toxin “turns off” sweating at the area where it has been injected. Botox injections are very shallow, meaning that the medicine is injected just below the surface of the skin, where it remains.Research demonstrates that treating excessive sweating of the armpits, hands, feet, head and face (craniofacial), and other relatively small body areas (like under the breasts) with Onabotulinumtoxin A is safe and effective. When used to treat underarm excessive sweating, Botox has been shown to result in an 82-87% decrease in sweating. Here at The Med Spot Dr Reyes will first assess the area of concern by performing a test to see exactly where the spots of excessive sweating occurs.
CO2RE™ Intima Treatment for Vaginal Rejuvenation
CO2RE™ Intima is a medical laser that delivers controlled energy to the vaginal or vulva tissue – so cells make more collagen – improving skin tone, texture, and appearance. Chemical Peels

TCA and Glycolic, ZO 3 step peel and ZO Stimulator Peel “The Red Carpet Peel” are a few examples of the medical grade peels we offer.
Clear + Brilliant® Laser Treatment
Utilizes a laser technology that isn’t as aggressive as complete laser resurfacing. This laser helps prevent the signs of aging, improves skin tone and texture, minimizes the appearance of pores, and improves melasma. There is minimal down time. Excellent results are especially seen with melasma and darker skin tones.
Co2RE™ Laser Treatment
CO2RE™ laser resurfacing can restore a smoother, younger-looking skin texture. Dermal Fillers

Earlobe Repair
Regardless of the size of tear or hole caused by (but not limited to) wearing gauges and over stretching the skin, we can help you. Dr Reyes is an expert of complex intricate procedures and has successfully completed many, in turn giving her clients back their normal earlobes. This procedure is done here at The Med Spot with local anesthesia and using stitches that will be removed after the ear/ears have fully healed. Because the ear heals very quickly, scars are minimal and they may also be pierced again if regular size earrings wish to be worn.
Fraxel® Dual Laser to Rejuvenate the Skin
This laser treatment makes your skin tighter and noticeably softer. Fraxel®, which utilizes a fractionated laser beam to resurface and rejuvenate the skin, is an exciting advance in laser technology. Dr. Reyes loves this treatment primarily for pigment in addition to firming and tightening aging skin. She has had particularly good results in treating acne scarring in all age groups. This is a wonderful option for skin rejuvenation.

Keloid Scars
A keloid is caused by an excess protein (collagen) in the skin during healing. Keloids often are lumpy or ridged. The scar rises after an injury or condition has healed, such as a surgical incision or acne. Keloids aren’t harmful but can look unsightly. We have various ways of reducing these types of scars to minimize their appearance typically with the use of cortisone injections and certain lasers.

PRP For Scars
Being tougher skin, scars receive a lower amount of blood supply and thus, do not heal like they should.
