It takes a gift and Darryl Howard at The Mane Event has that gift. I’ve know Darryl for more than 20 years (yikes) and over the years have not only been fortunate enough to have him cut my hair, but become my friend.Darryl (and his Wife Chantel) are two of the nicest people you will ever meet. They’ve been at my wedding, and I at his baby shower! Darryl has always given me a great cut, and helped me stay current with men’s hairstyles, without pushing me too far outside my comfort zone.One of the things I appreciate about Darryl is his ability to take what you tell him and turn it into a style. You can describe something – which to you makes no sense – but when Darryl hears it, and translates it, it comes out just as you had hoped. That’s the gift that to me separates a person who cuts hair, from a Master Stylist like Darryl.The other thing I appreciate is his personality. With all the *stuff* going on in the world, it’s sometimes nice to sit in a chair, have a few laughs, and feel like you’re talking to one of your best friends (and in this case he became one of my best friends!) Not only do you get a great style, but you have fun doing it.
