I’ve gotten my hair cut by Selina here at The Loft in East Providence twice and since I met her, she has been the most genuine, caring person to EVER put hands on my hair. I had never got a curly cut before going to Selina, but she made me so comfortable and listened to all of my concerns and wants for our appointments together. Since I started getting my haircuts with Selina, my hair has gotten so much thicker and with her advisement, the health of my hair has grown so much. I truly am excited to see how she continues to transform my curls in the future because she is truly the only person I would want to trust with my curls.

I will not recommend them under any circumstance. They did great damage to my hair. Unforgivable, I had to see a dermatologist. My hair has been falling off since I had them do the worst wash and go imaginable. A tangled mess that’s what it was. When it came to washing it off, my hair was falling off in clumps. Do yourself a favor and stay away. I always did my own hair and had thickness that was distinct. But now, my hair has lost a lot of its density and I am not happy at all. STAY AWAY!!!

I had an amazing experience here today with Selina. I was nervous about transitioning from my relaxed hair to my natural curls but Selina made me feel comfortable. She taught me everything I needed to know about maintaining my natural curls at home with her vast knowledge of products and her skillful styling . I will definitely be back and I encourage you to ask for Selina because she has experience with all hair textures and she will have your curls popping by the time you leave this salon !!!!!

I went to the loft and got my haircut by Selina. I was so happy I found this place because I don’t believe there are many curl specialist in RI. But She did an amazing job. She understood what I was looking for and was determined and realistic on how to get me there. I can tell that she is very passionate about what she does with curls. I would definitely recommend her

Just a wonderful experience at this salon with Selina! She’s such a knowledgeable stylist and shared that information + she can style my hair and I do not feel the need to go home and restyle! I used to do this all the time with my past hair stylists and it’s great to have one great stylist who also has the technical knowledge. Yay!

I had a wonderful hair care experience with Selina in February! She was kind, knowledgeable, and took her time with educating me on the process and products! I have never had my hair look so happy with moveable curls in a perfect cut! She is gifted with the scissors ✂️ My cut has been full of life/volume even when I do it myself! I would highly recommend her to anyone with curly hair who is looking for someone to give them a great cut and also tailor the experience to your specific hair needs! I was shocked to hear that in order to have something done here, you need to have a treatment and cut for $175 before you can have what you need done. No wonder why I never see people in here. You shouldn’t be made to do anything to have services done.

I just have to say this salon is nothing short of AMAZING!! I started my natural hair journey a few years ago and had been struggling with finding the right product (or combination of products ) for my “4c” hair type. I came into the Loft Hair Studio with “shubbery” and left with a work of art! Everyone in there is an expert working with natural hair for sure. Selina was so patient with my hair and knowledgeable of my hair needs and found my natural curl pattern–something I honestly had never seen before in my own hair!! I am still in shock by the style and definition in my hair a few hours later lol!! And even more gifts–she educated me about my hair and gave me a specific hair regimen to follow! I highly recommend the Loft Hair Studio to anyone who desires to see what their natural hair is capable of–perfection and beauty without chemicals or processing ❤. Thank you Selina!
