Wow! A clean, vibrant, new barber shop in James Island. The shop has a cozy waiting room with plenty of complimentary beverages. I made an online appointment with Kelsey. I was in town for a few days and needed a haircut for a formal event. Kelsey was able to accommodate me with a next day appointment. The Local Shoppe was nicely decorated and clean. I was greeted by Kelsey where she allowed me to pick out a free bourbon of my choice to enjoy while getting my hair cut (always a nice thing to offer). Everything went well from start to finish and most importantly the hair cut was looking good. Would highly recommend!

Where do I even start. Probably the best haircut I’ve ever had, to be honest. The experience Kelsey has cultivated is absolutely phenomenal. I’ve lived on Folly for over a year and was never able to find a good stylist that I vibed with. Well Kelsey has cornered that market with what she has done with The Local Shoppe. My haircut was perfect, her fade is incredible and she really enjoys what she does and takes pride in making sure you are comfortable and happy. I’ve been going to Kelsey for around 2 years now to get my hair cut. My hair is difficult to get cut right and she’s always done a phenomenal job and is the only person I go to in the area.
