I had such a great experience with Kim at indigo spa! It was my first facial, so I was a little nervous and didn’t know what to expect. I had some milia, little white hard dots (several of them that were there for close to 2 or more years!) on my cheekbones. I had tried everything to get rid of them. She let me know that it could make me a little red, and that she might not be able to get them all out in one try. I really appreciated her transparency and setting the correct expectation. She did such an amazing job! She took the time to get them out, and now my skin is so smooth ☺️. Very knowledgeable, kind, sweet and professional. Also, the space is gorgeous!

She is sweet as can be and incredibly professional. I have sensitive skin and have always had great experiences with the services. So lucky to have found this place and to have found Mary as a massage therapist. This is my second time with her. I’m beyond picky with my massages as I have many muscular and skeletal issues, so I like someone who can really get in there and work out the knots. She asked quite a few times if the pressure was ok which was wonderful. It’s as if she knew exactly what spots to work, honestly she has an incredible gift! I have also used the infrared sauna both times and what a wonderful add-on to my treatment. The spa itself is in a great spot and easy to get to and find and super clean and relaxing. Would recommend over and over.

I attempted to book an appointment with this spa after receiving a gift card from my boss. I spent several minutes on the phone just to nail down a time on a Saturday that would work with my schedule. Mind you, I wasn’t advised until after booking the appointment that there would be a deposit as I booked three treatments. Denise (?) said she was going to charge me a deposit on the facial which would have come to $37. No problem. So, I agreed. I looked at my account and she charged me $75 which is double the amount she previously stated. When I asked her why the amount was different, she said that she voided the transaction and that she would need to speak with someone else in order to determine the deposit amount. Due to the fact that the managers were busy with other clients, she said that either she or a manager would call me back. So, I received the call from Brandy (?) who argued with me stating that they “reserve the right to change and/or update their policy at any time.” Essentially, there was no need to update their website and advise of the “necessary deposit” because it could it change at any moment. Because the $75 was not immediately deposited back into my account, she kept asking me for the number of the gift card that I intended to use. Her justification for this was, “If you were local, then the money could be returned to you today.” Having never heard of that, I refused as it was my bank card that was charged and not the gift card. It doesn’t matter whether or not I’m local – mind you, I do have a residence in New Bedford. You would think that for a company so small and in such a small city, communication skills would be above average. I would expect this from a spa in Madrid, for example, because that is the nature of their communication. However, that isn’t what I expect from someone in New Bedford. This is my FIRST experience booking a massage and facial for two people here in New Bedford and it was not a pleasant experience whatsoever. As someone who has booked spa services in multiple states and countries, I’m appalled at their customer service and wouldn’t recommend them to anyone. Needless to say, my large mastiff is now enjoying her favorite pastime – chewing on worthless plastic.
