Was super excited for our 90min couples message to celebrate our wedding. Was already rescheduled due to the Christmas weekend negative temps, understandable. When I called back to rebook about a week or so later, the gal I spoke to was very nice and we discussed either January 14th or 21st. I explained we had plans and I would speak to my husband BUT put us down for the 14th and if I needed to reschedule I will call back. We even discussed which therapists we would be with and stated “see you next Saturday!” I call this morning to make a final confirmation before driving all the way to Morris and the fact that I never received any sort of confirmation, was odd. Apparently our appointment was not scheduled. The receptionist told me the gal I spoke too never got a confirmation from me?? And if she was unsure, why did no one reach out? Needless to say, I was pretty upset due to how excited we were. It’s an unfortunate miscommunication. The receptionist offered nothing to make up for it. A simple sorry and we filled the spot already. Not sure if we will make an appointment here again. Just being honest .

I had an amazing massage at The Healing Spirit in downtown Morris! I searched for a massage therapist in Morris and finally found the one. Everything is beautiful, calming, and clean; everyone wore masks and hand sanitizer was available in multiple places.

This place is so comfy and tranquil! Audrey was my massage therapist and she is amazing! I’ve had many many massages but this by far was the best I’ve ever had! Super nice and helpful and she was able to get me in last minute. I believe there is an elevator to use that I saw, otherwise note there are a set of stairs to go up. Definitely will be back!

Critical: QualityI went here for a prenatal massage and was told they were “certified.” The therapist seemed to lack a complete knowledge of prenatal massage. They have you lay on your stomach with a hole in the bed. So uncomfortable. I felt extreme weight on my back. I had another PN massage else where which was superior, they had me lay on my sides and propped me with several pillows for support. No support given at HSWS. I explained my problem areas and she said she would do a full body massage but focus those areas. She did NOT even touch my lower back which is why I went there. In addition, a heated blanket was left on high on my uterus, which is dangerous for the baby. I had to ask her to turn it off and explain why. I have never received massage therapy before so I was a bit unsure coming in. I had lower back pain and have seen doctors and am currently in physical therapy, but still was not finding relief. I was really on the edge of a break down because nothing was helping. I came in for a 15 min massage to see if massage therapy would provide any relief for me. In 15 min Abby was able to help so much. My pain was decreased significantly and I have felt better than I have in years…only from 15 minutes! I am already planning my next session and can’t begin to express how thrilled I am to finally have my pain decreased!!

I was so happy when a spa opened in Channahon & now that I’ve been a patron for a couple of months, I’m beyond thrilled. Thus far, I’ve used their wax services (full leg) & I get an hour long massage every 2 weeks. I absolutely love this place & the people who work there are fantastic. Jenna did my leg & bikini wax. The wax itself didn’t take that long (she used the roll-on wax) and I was very happy with the results. The massage therapists really listen to what you want to get out of your massage & tailor it to your needs. If you ask, they are happy to give you tips for stretches or exercises that you may find beneficial. I’ve had Heather, Dana & Caytie for my massages & they’ve all been great. The prices are extremely reasonable. They also carry Dermalogica products, but I haven’t tried any of that yet (I have very temperamental skin- otherwise I would…). I highly, highly recommend. Also, you can make your appointment on their website- very convenient.
