This was my first time at this salon. Cheryl at the front desk offered a warm friendly greeting and was very helpful. Kelly my stylist was fabulous. She spent a lot of time talking to me about what I wanted and offered suggestions. Since I already knew of her from my sister in-law, I gave her free reign to do what she thought was best. I loved my new cut and new color. I would highly recommend this salon and Kelly in particular.

Audrey was amazing! She did an awesome job and was willing to spend the extra time when the bleach didn’t take to my hair well, to do it over. Truly a wonderful stylist and wonderful salon! Every stylist sets their own prices, but from my experience they are all fair prices!

Bailee is excellent! My family moved to Lansing for a few months this summer. Bailee did a great job with my color. I didn’t have the formula from my prior hairdresser but she was able to match the color and it looks just the way I like it. Since she also specializes in cutting men’s hair I had her cut my 4 year old son’s hair. It looked great. It takes real talent to give a good cut to a squirmy toddler. My husband also had her cut his hair. He’s pretty particular and he loved the cut and style.

Wanted blunt and choppy. I researched their business and it said they are always educating on new techniques. She cut off 6 inches and that was pretty much it. I got the blunt which I could have done at home myself. WHERE THE HELL IS THE CHOPPY???? I went to Douglas J and now I look beautiful. YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR!!!! Sorry for the negative review but it is what it is. MY OPINION

I only ever see Brigid but she does amazing work with my long layers and facial framing. She also knows how to use her scissors to do men’s cuts instead of the trimmers. She’s very personable and consistent.

I can’t say enough about Dave- he is amazing! I have a very thick wavy black hair but I prefer to keep it short and Dave does a fantastic job at giving my hair texture and prevent it from looking bulky! I am going to be sad next year when I wont be living in Lansing anymore.

It has taken me years to find a salon that I truly like. I have been going to The Headroom Salon for almost a year now. I see, Madeline who is a blonde balayage queen! She is amazing with color, a great conversationalist, and does amazing cuts/styles on my very fine hair. Not to mention, the salon itself is beautiful. You will not be disappointed with the services here.
