The System
Dorris was my wife’s hairdresser and though she was polite, my wife had a massive issue with her visit and will not be returning after coming home extremely upset. She booked an appointment and arrived a few minutes early and sat down to wait which is when she noticed that her hairdresser was not being very receptive of the woman currently receiving a cut from her. The woman would tell her “that’s good I like it like this, I don’t want it too short” and Dorris would keep saying ” let me just fix this part”, “oh I think I missed a spot” and continue cutting this ladies hair much shorter than she wanted. My wife was visibly put off by this but continued to wait. When her turn came around she explained exactly what she wanted and even had an exact picture of the cut she was looking to get. She seemed to understand it perfectly and began cutting away. Half way through her cut is when she noticed how short she was taking it up. My wife told her that the length it was at was perfect and she was happy with it. She proceeded to start saying things like ” it’s cute but let me fix this one spot” and ” oh! Let me even it out on this side”. She told her that she was fine with it being the length she had it three separate times and Dorris continued to cut it. She ended up with her hair being WAY shorter than she wanted it and to top it off, my wife had told her that she did not want her bangs cut at all. My wife left with an inch and a quarter being cut off of her bangs which left them shorter than the length she had taken off of her hair. She came home visibly upset with her hair looking NOTHING like the photo she provided. This was my wife’s first visit to the Hair Venture and it will be her LAST. Extremely disappointed and unhappy with her visit and hairdresser. If you’re looking for a specific hair cut the way YOU want it cut with a hair dresser that will listen to you and not ignore you, do not come to this place. 0/10 recommend.
