Critical: Professionalism, PunctualityI’ve been using this salon for blow outs for the past 5 years and have not had any issues until my last 2 scheduled appointments. I had an appointment to have my hair styled before I left on vacation for 5pm on July 24th. About 4 hours before, I received a text message from my stylist that she is leaving early and won’t be able to take me. I pleaded for another stylist to accommodate me and was even ready to come in at any time. She just stated that they were busy and left it at just a simple sorry. Since I’ve been a long time customer, I decided to give them one more chance. I scheduled an appointment for yesterday to get my hair styled for my daughter’s birthday party. I arrive and was told that my stylist is running 45 minutes behind and to come back if I’d like. I didn’t have time to come back later as I had many other things to do to prepare for the party. And the fact that I was not given a courtesy call prior to my appointment was rude and unprofessional. Prior to these 2 situations, they always had a front desk person who ran things smoothly and was very good with communicating if there were any issues that would affect my appointment prior to me arriving. I’ve been using this salon for blow outs for the past 5 years and have not had any issues until my last 2 scheduled appointments. I had an appointment to have my hair styled before I left on vacation for 5pm on July 24th. About 4 hours before, I received a text message from my stylist that she is leaving early and won’t be able to take me. I decided I wanted to give myself a birthday treat and dye my hair for the first time ever and went in for a consultation to get more info and show what I wanted to get out of dying my hair (photos attached). I showed the same 2 pictures to the stylist Shannon and she assured me the brown hues on my black hair would take 1 visit and done!I was excited and set up an appointment. Day of the appointment the color came out red tinted but I was assured it would lighten up. It barely lightened up and truthfully matches my own hair color.I called and was told by the receptionist that they would fix the color for free and I would only have to pay for a blowout. I go in today and the hair stylist is giving me attitude saying she would not do it for free she claims she told me in the consultation that it would take multiple sessions (not true)! And on top of the original $200+ I paid for the original appt, a second session to FIX IT would cost $185.I can’t believe the stylist would take offense to not doing the correct work. If someone were to come to me disappointed in my work I would feel so sorry and fix it for free. I only ever showed 2 photos of what I wanted and look at what I got. I’m so disappointed and can’t believe I wasted $200+ to look exactly the same, even worse with how the color is straight black in the center.If I was told the truth in the consultation that she did not know it would come out in redish hues I would not have done this to my hair.Service: HairstylingI’ve never felt the need to write a review of poor service ever until today. I’ve never felt the need to write a review of poor service ever until today. I decided I wanted to give myself a birthday treat and dye my hair for the first time ever and went in for a consultation to get more info and show what I wanted to get out of dying my hair (photos attached). Today was my second time at The Hair Lounge in awhile, and it was the best experience. I showed my stylist Shannon a picture from Pinterest. My hair was nowhere near the picture i had shown her, from being damaged to unblended my hair for sure needed help. Shannon gave me the BEST balayage and cut, and even recommended me products that would help my hair for the future. I even bring my toddler there! Marina does a great cut on children as well as adults. My child is very fussy and doesn’t sit still but Marina gave a great cut. Marina does a great cut on children as well as adults. My child is very fussy and doesn’t sit still but Marina gave a great cut. Everyone in The Hair Lounge is professional, nice, attentive and you walk out feeling great. Believe me, this salon is great!
