I made an appointment on August 4th , for Sept 29th to get my hair back to it’s natural color, gray. I even went in for a consultation and got a hair cut shortly after booking the appointment. On Sept 26th, prior to the 29th appointment, I called to see when the second service would be so I didn’t overbooked my personal calendar since I was told it would take more than 1 session. Missy informed me that she had tried to call me on Thursday the week prior to tell me they, owners,would be on vacation and couldn’t do my hair since they wanted to be there for the service. When I asked if she had left a message she said no she didn’t wanna leave a long message for me. She also said the owner was supposed to call me on Friday since she, Missy, wouldn’t be in the studio. I had been growing my hair out and not coloring it since May and was extremely disappointed that they had done me this way. I hadn’t canceled or changed any appointments and am still not understanding what happened on their end. I hope no one else is as disappointed as I was. However, I did find another salon to take my business and I am quite happy.Thank you, Haley, at Fringes in Fountain City!

I’ve gone to Moneta four times now for cut and color. I have natural curly hair and am always hesitant going to someone new. She was very knowledgeable and very patient. She matched my root touch up perfectly! When I ask about making adjustments to the cut she listens and figures out the best way to do it. I’ve been happy with every visit. I also appreciate that she respects that I’m following the curly girl method and uses products that are CG approved and she doesn’t push me about purchasing products. She is kind and easy to talk to. The facility is really clean and they are accommodating with appointments! Pricing is a little higher from the salon I came from but not too much and seems to be in line with other salons in the blount county area.

After spending over 3 hours there, for a simple haircut, and leaving looking like I had let a 3 year old cut my hair…I was needless to say…very unsatisfied. Will never go back myself and will definitely never recommend that anyone go there…worst hair experience ever…

They have you complete an extremely thorough hair survey before starting, and I absolutely loved that. I felt like I was at a hair therapist office. I got a botanical treatment and trim, and it’s literally saved my hair that I was scared I’d have to chop. Went back to get my kid’s hair cut and they were so patient with my rowdy boys! Highly recommend.
