These reviews are shocking as a client of 2 years so far at The Hair Company USA. I’m a natural client that has received, platinum silk presses, custom color services and color correction and NEVER had I had a bad experience. I’m not going to lie though at first after my first press my hair was a little straight at the ends so I called immediately after to find out what was going on?! Of course I ran to reviews but I called and spoke with the manager. She asked me to come in to see my hair and they explained to me why my hair was straight on the ends, which was from the heat and with ends being the weakest part of our hair, it just needed a few condition treatments to revert back. So we did the Aloe Treatment first, then a protein I think and I had a curl enhancement that actually did bring back my curls loll !! I was super excited and that’s actually what kept me going to The Hair Company USA. I understand some thinking it’s damage but it’s not. Just call they will help you. The whole staff are like family, always kind and helpful!!!

My daughter insists on getting her hair done here (hydration treatment, blow out & trim) whenever she is home from college. She loves it. I procrastinated & used this salon at the last minute for my wedding & I was EXTREMELY PLEASED. The owner, receptionist & stylists are patient and so professional & personable….consistently. They offer water & snacks, too (lol). I usually get henna & twists only (no heat). LOVELY . I come at times when they are not too busy.

It’s a shame I had to leave and go to salon 809 across the way due to the staff being unprofessional and not providing the service that I requested when I first walked in. I told the young lady I did not want to sit under the dryer if possible when I first walked in and if she wasn’t able to accommodate me it would be no problem I would leave. They took an hour to wash my hair 10-11 (I didn’t get anything special). and then she goes to put me under the dryer after I specifically told her I did not want to sit. The front desk receptionist even tried to reason with her and see if the time could be cut in half under the dryer and she just ignored her (she wanted me to sit for 45 mins, mind you I was the first customer waiting when they opened) They completely waisted my time and money (charged me $55 for the wash, no blow dry ). I walked out with my shirt completely wet. She was to busy French braiding one of the other stylist hair that she didn’t have time to listen to my concerns and my original request . I have been going to the salon for over 5 years they won’t be getting my money anymore. Monica the girls should act like they have some sense when you are not around. It’s a shame that they can’t conduct themselves in a professional and courteous manner when you are not around.

Got my hair done at this salon, I was excited I traveled all the way from Hawaii. A week after getting my silk press, my curls DID NOT revert back, and had a chemical smell like a perm. My hair was to my butt I had to cut it off to get that natural curl.

To keep this short and sweet I went to this salon for a blow out and ended up with heat damage and breakage. I DO NOT recommend anyone with natural 4 type hair to go here if you value your curls. They are unexperienced in the natural afro hair department. Don’t let those nice pretty pictures fool you. I had to do a big chop to get my hair to it’s normal health. And the amount of money spent makes my blood boil especially for the long term out come of my hair. I’m considering reporting them to the BBB because damaging someone’s hair should be a crime. They probably have their equipment set too high and could be breaking the law for all we know and it’s only a matter of time before someone is reporting burn marks on their scalp. Whatever you choose to do, please do your research and know that you have been WARNED!!!!!!!!!

Overall, my hair looks fine. My hair is easily managed though. Everyone was nice, but when I went to pay the woman told me my bill was $152. That’s before I added a tip. 1 woman washed my hair & sat me under the hair steamer. Once it stopped steaming, she sectioned my hair into 4s and sat me under the dryer. After a while a stylist came & got me, blew my hair out, trimmed it, then flat ironed it. Overall my hair was average, but I won’t be returning. I have never spent that much on my blow out before today, but I certainly won’t do it again.
