This is hands down the best salon in greenpoint. I’ve been coming here for years and they never disappoint. I do everything from wash and blow outs to custom fashion color dye jobs. Having curly hair can make it hard to find a salon that can take of everything you need, but with hair bar and it’s wonderful stylists, I can always count on them for a gorgeous outcome no matter what I come in for. A true gem. I won’t go anywhere else.

I had my mother of the bride hair and makeup done by Niki on May 7. The weather was terrible with rain and wind. Niki and the salon in general could not have been more wonderful! They calmed me down since I was so stressed and my hair and makeup was fabulous. My appointment was in the morning and my hair held up beautifully into the late hours of the night. My curls softened but my hair never looked hard or crunchy. So many compliments. Thank you so much! Highly recommend!

I went in for a wash cut blow yesterday and every step of the experience was amazing from a thorough wash, to a clear conversation of what I was looking for and what the process was. I was in and out in under an hour which is great for those of us who hate spending 90 minutes under a blow dryer. Everyone was kind, fun, professional and Covid safe. $60 for a wash cut blow with the incredible service is hard to beat.

I went back in, they completely understood, and they did it free of charge. So happy with my haircut. It was half the price and far better cut and service than the snobby overpriced salons in the neighborhood. Highly recommend. Stopped in for $20 blow out. Those prices are unheard of in this area! I thought it was a mistake, thanking my lucky stars it was true! Service was excellent and everyone is so warm and friendly. Loved walking out with fresh beautifully styled hair. I came back the next week and have told all my friends about this gem of a salon! They also offer full service – makeup and coloring.
