Avoid. Terrible customer service. Rude, poor haircuts(but they take a long time to give you the illusion of “good care”), they intentionally cut hair wrong from what you show them to.

No less than AMAZING! I gave them a try based on the recommendations of a coworker and long time patron. The atmosphere is what exactly what you would want in a Barbershop. Good conversation and laughs shared by the barbers and patrons alike. I paired up with Tyler Duskin. Service was prompt to the appointment time. He took the time to listen to my wants up front and his supreme skills did the rest. The attention to detail is second to none and he worked past my appointment to line up my fade and trim my unruly beard to a tight modern cut and trim. I couldnt be happier with the service and my wife couldnt be happier with my burl being knocked down a couple notches. I’ll be back again, and again. Good form sir’s!

The Good Life IS the best in the game. I had been a regular since their opening and have since moved to a new city with a large metro area. And the difficulty in finding a new barber in my new home that comes close to the quality, detail, value and consistency to what you receive at The Good Life is difficult and sometimes feels impossible. I miss this place every time I go to get a haircut elsewhere. Keep at it!

Amazing! Great feel. Old school meets modern in some ways. Sports one, good guy talk, and a great atmosphere. Very skilled barbers with both hair and beards. This is the only place I go now! You owe it to yourself to try a better class of barber.

The place is much more about the aesthetic than actual quality, quite possibly the worst cut I’ve ever received. Just wanted a short fade, ended up with an uneven bowl cut and some shaved sides. Paid $40 and had to find a different salon to fix this wack job the next day.

The only thing I can say is…. RYAN!!! Amazing barber and beard specialist! I’ve never been to Good Life before, and now I’ll never go anywhere again and Ryan is my guy! It may seem a little pricey, but the attention you get makes it worth every penny! Highly recommend! This was my first time coming to The Good Life Shaving Co., and frankly, the only place I will be taking my business from now on. Tyler had the only slot available when I was scheduling and Tyler has my business from here on out. An incredible barber, along with his colleagues. Another great part about the shop is the atmosphere. Throughout the cut, the barbers and customers were all talking, making it feel as if you’ve been a long time friend/customer of theirs, even though it was my first cut with them. Extremely clean, precise work, immaculate attention to detail, clean welcoming shop, and an atmosphere that you won’t get at your typical barbershop. Would recommend to ANYONE. Once again, Tyler did an amazing job, and I will be coming back to him, again and again.

First time visiting the shop today and I will absolutely be back. After visiting multiple barbers in the greater Lansing area, this is the place to be. Super laid back atmosphere and a top notch haircut. Can’t beat it. Jesse took his time and let me stay a few minutes over my scheduled appointment time to make sure my hair looked exactly the way I wanted it to. Even gave me a few tips to keep it looking clean for as long as possible. Well worth every penny spent!

Tyler is the only person who I’ve let cut my hair the last 3 years, but all the barbers are dedicated to excellence and take their time to make sure that you’re satisfied with your look.
