I’ve been going to The Golden File for over a year now and I’ve been fairly impressed. I have had a couple of my dip manicures chip (which is a little frustrating when they only last a week or so but I know I’m super rough on my nails). When I take care of my hands, I have had my gel manicures for 2+ weeks. My boyfriend and I also did a pedicure day together at the Golden File and it was wonderful. I’ve always been able to get an appointment when I request, have only waited a little bit to get started. After school hours can be busy but I’ve never had any issues. I’ve had several different techs and they’re all great!

Critical: ProfessionalismI was very pleased with the atmosphere and all. My nail artist was very polite and super nice! Started conversation and just a good visit over all. I had to call back the next day because my nails just weren’t right. It wasn’t the shape I liked. And some were off centered. They told me to come in to get a nail repair so I did the next day at 11. The guy I had before had to repair them. I could tell he was annoyed. He started to file them and I felt burning so I jerked away but he still continued. He didn’t say anything until he saw that I started to bleed and I didn’t notice at first. I didn’t know what to do in this situation but I know it wasn’t right for him to file that hard. This is not okay, and if anyone has a problem with their nails it’s their job to fix them. I don’t think there’s anything wrong with the place itself I’m sure it’s more of the nail tech. When we arrived at the nail salon, it was very busy, we had appointments and arrived on time but still had to wait 20 minutes to be seated. I got seated first since I was getting dip powder. The station was not clean and had dust from previous clients and was not cleaned at all. When she started to do my nails I had previous dip powder on, as she was filing my nails it hurt slightly byt I thought that wad my problem, as we continued on in the Manicure she proceeded to start to buff the new color and round out the shape near my cuticle, as she was doing it though she cut the skin on 5 of my fingers to the point that I bled. She saw me bleeding and didn’t say anything, proceeded to add alcohol to my fingernails, put the tip coat on, and add cuticle oil and set me on my way. No hand massage, no lotion as it come a part of the package of getting a Manicure. Overall, it was very disorganized and disappointing. I understand that they were busy and wanted people to get in and out, but hurting me in the process is way too far. I will not be using their services again, unfortunately

I have been a loyal patron of the Golden File Salon since 2018 (every 3 weeks new set of nails) – I have loved going here. The salon looks beautiful, it was the perfect salon pre-pandemic. Their customer service could use a little personalization. They now charge for nail shape – which is bizarre, if i am coming in for a manicure obviously filing the nails is a part of that ($3 additional now). They still have some great techs and can give you a manicure but be aware that you will need to be very vocal and firm. They will let you leave with some wonky looking nails and charge top dollar for it.

My first time visiting this restaurant. We ordered 3 different plates at our table and all agreed they were good. The guacamole was not my favorite but with that said I make it with all fresh ingredients like they make it in Mexico. The restaurant was busy and the food took normal time to serve. Churro was very good for dessert it comes in 4 little pieces perfect to share. I did not like that our server had not tasted most of the food and didn’t or wouldn’t give any of his favorite recommendations.

First time trying a new salon, probably will not be back. Not sure what the difference in timing is between the express pedicure and the regular pedicure because my regular pedicure was done in just over 20 minutes (22 to be exact) My skin was cut several times after my asking her to stop/saying it hurt. Which led to bleeding (she just stuck my foot back in the water) and now an infection in my right toe. Should’ve just paid for the express pedicure for how fast it was. I normally pay $35 for a 60 min pedicure at other nail salons. They didn’t speak a single word to me the entire time. They all just talked to each other or watched the tv. Not a hi, or how’s your day…. Overall very underwhelmed. The front desk ladies won’t even make eye contact with you, ask how your appointment was, or ask if you would like to schedule another one. They acted as if me checking out was bothering them. Most likely will not be back unless it is my last resort.
