Overheard a conversation had by (who i perceived to be the owner) and a gentlemen who seemed to be interested in jumping into the hair game. The owner was generous in sharing his advice in the business. Offered him a part time position to help him feel it out. See if it was for him. He made a point to say that he’s incredibly thorough with interviews; sees many talented artists who could cut the competition, but turns them away the moment he senses that their attitude and purpose are geared towards money. When neither the art nor the gift are at the forefront, and guests are treated as a name to cross off a list, it doesnt create an environment that people appreciate.
