Established in 2013, The Feathered Flip is a beauty salon located in the heart of the Wood River Valley. The Flip offers a range of highly trendy hair cuts and styling, hair color, skincare, and nail care services. Our stylists have all been professionally trained and continue to take learning opportunities over the years. Our mission is to celebrate women and men in their real, most raw, authentic brilliance, who believe in themselves and give them the look that best suits them. We love our small town loving community and want to offer them the best products. We believe in using the most natural and rich ingredients to ensure the health of our clients, stylists, and earth:)

I worked with the Feathered Flip team for my wedding, and they were INCREDIBLE. Ali did my trial the week of, with a gorgeous bun that I loved, but I ultimately decided to go hair down and she pivoted the day of with no problem at all. She also did my rehearsal dinner hair and I loved all of it. She rallied the entire team – Krystal, Bonnie, and Abby to do hair for our 20 person bridal party and family group on wedding day and everyone looked STUNNING. I went to get my nails done before my 18th and was so excited. They were super nice and the appointment started off great. But when I saw my nails under better lighting, I saw not only that my nails were all different shapes, but were way to thick and not filled in all the way. I was really disappointed and ended up having to go somewhere else to get my nails fixed.

While I have had many great haircuts withladies at Feathered Flip, unfortunately, I did not have a great experience with the Feathered Flip for (canceled) services related to my wedding. I reached out to the salon in March to do hair and makeup at my wedding in September. In my first email, I stated that the”wedding is up Trail Creek (Wild Horse Creek Ranch)”,using that wording verbatim. In June, I signed a contract with them. Being that I was undecided on doing hair/makeup at the salon or at the venue at the time of the contract signing, we noted both the $175/hr in-salon and $225 at-venue rate on the contract, and she said I could let her know anytime where I wanted services done.The contract stated that “travel fees may apply” but none were specified by the owner, Ali, on the document. I repeatedly asked Ali for clarification about travel fees and travel time vs actual time with a stylist, since I realized the venue is a bit of a trek (but not unreasonable by any means). After the contract was signed, she informally stated that travel was included “in the Valley”. Being that I had already told her the venue name and that it was reasonably closeto Valley borders, and she had not specified an additional travel fee, I thought I was set.
