I’m not sure what’s going on, but no one ever answers the phone. You get a voicemail saying they only take calls Tuesday-Thursday, to leave a message. You do, and no one ever calls you back. I then tried calling back every day Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday and same deal, right to voicemail and no returned call. Is this place even still in business? I ended up having to cut my own hair. 3 out of 5 stars for my own hair cut, though.

I get so many compliments on my haircut. Shout out to HEATHER, my hairstylist! Also, I really appreciate it how she takes her time to massage my head and neck while in the wash bowl. I highly recommend Heather to anyone looking for a new hair dresser!!

There are hair stylists, and then there’s Brenda. She’s a true artist; just check out her instagram! I have gone to some of the finest salons in Seattle in search of a good haircut for my fine, thin hair and then found this gem of a salon in Mount Vernon. Brenda is not only warm and personable, she is knowledgeable and talented. She gave me a lot of pointers on how to maintain my new style and I have received a lot of compliments on my hair cut. This was my first appointment at The Experience salon and I have already booked my next haircut. Highly recommend.

I made an appointment last month for my haircut because I was not satisfied with the haircut I had received from this salon last month. My appointment time was at 10am this morning and I booked the appointment almost a month in advance. I was so excited to go in for my haircut but at 9:20 this morning, only 40 minutes before my appointment, the receptionist called me and said they would cancel my appointment because Hannah the hair stylist i was booked with was not coming in. Experience Salon has a policy that you have to cancel 24 hours before your appointment or they will charge you for canceling but if their hair stylists decide to call in only a few minutes before their shift starts they just cancel all of their appointments. This has already happened happened to our family twice. I do not recommend this salon because you never know when they will just decide to cancel your appointment. This is the only salon that has ever done this.

Toby, Brenda and the entire team at the Experience Salon are who you should be calling for current trends and technical superiority. I drive from downtown Seattle up to Mount Vernon just to have Toby do my hair and I have been going to him for the past 8 years…and I have no intention to go anywhere else. Toby takes great pride in having highly educated and trained professionals on his team. They look to each other for inspiration and trendsetting. Don’t be fooled by the quaint town location. They are doing amazing work at the Experience Salon and would give any Seattle salon a run for their money!

After years of experimenting with different salons in the valley, I have finally found my salon! I found The Experience Salon after scrolling through my Instagram feed. After creeping on some before and after shots, it became obvious that there some master colorist and stylists at this Salon. I made an appointment with Ally and she was amazing! I explained to her that I am pretty low maintenance and on budget and Ally totally heard me. She would educate me the products she put in my hair, but was not pushy about sales or upselling me. I gave Ally a lot of creative freedom and she ran with it. I couldn’t be happier. The Experience Salon is contemporary, modern, and a great value. I will be back for sure.

Great salon! They listened to what I wanted and fixed a bad cut and color if got somewhere else. I’ll definitely return and absolutely recommend to others. The service is great as well. They offer beverages on arrival and a head massage after the shampoo.

The worst salon experience in my life! Toby, the owner, assured me he could straighten my hair with a Paul Mitchell product and give me the same results as a keratin treatment. He was wrong! He melted my hair and had it breaking off in clumps. He told me not to touch it and return to the salon the next day for a “conditioning treatment” that would fix it. It made it worse! He never offered to refund my money. Thankfully I got a second opinion from a salon in Vancouver BC. Toby’s “conditioning treatments” were contributing to the damage. It took years to grow my hair out completely. Run away from this salon and save your hair!
