I have extreme pain and suffer with Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy & was diagnosed with Bone disease very young have had two totaled out car accidents.I am in chronic pain on a norm . Id began to suffer from a L5 S1 nerve impingement pain & herniated disc and have had several bulging disc in my neck. I have suffered for years. I was gifted a remarkable opportunity@Essential Massage and saw a Mr Corey. I cannot explain ,How much He helped me! He knew exactly what to do and could feel exactly where my knots were. And was able to give me relief that nothing else had for over eight years. The atmosphere was professional my experience with Mr. Corey was exceptional.I highly recommend him to anyone who needs relief with severe pain .

I have chronic low back pain after spinal fusion in 2004. I have been using The Essential Massage for a couple of years now. Cory Williams is the only massage therapist that I have seen since my injury that has helped me understand why I have pain and how to keep it under control by stretching and using proper body mechanics in my everyday life. I am able to do the things I love and enjoy thanks to Cory and his extensive knowledge of massage and his willingness to listen. Cory is a caring therapist and always does his best to see me when I need to be seen. He is an asset to The Essential Massage.

I asked for a massage as a birthday gift, and was not disappointed! From the reviews, my husband specifically asked for Kelsey, and she lived up to the other reviews. I’m not sure 30 minutes has ever passed so quickly in my life. I appreciated Kelsey’s perfect balance between professionalism and friendliness. I also appreciated that she allowed me time afterwards to just enjoy the zen like feeling of relaxation rather than rushing me out. It felt blasphemous to make any swift movements after feeling so relaxed! The only recommendation I would make is that it would have been even MORE fantastic if I could have enjoyed sitting on the bench in the lovely garden space they created… without the road noise of the passing cars on 31. It was also a little disappointing that there was a misunderstanding about my husband having prepaid (and put “birthday gift” in the notes) so I wouldn’t have to know how much it cost, but was expected to pay. It was easily resolved, but did take a little bit away from the euphoria of the experience. Obviously, neither was a deal-breaker. It was still a fantastic experience.

I’ve gone to essential massage a handful of times to work with Kelsey Hatcher. I’ve gone following strenuous workouts and even after a car accident. Every time I’ve brought a complaint to Kelsey she has addressed it thoroughly. My range of motion and flexibility greatly improves after my sessions with her which alleviates the majority if not all of my pain. I’ve seen other massage therapists in the Birmingham before finding Kelsey. Not only is she more affordable, but she provides the best care I’ve ever received. She provides the highest caliber of care in the Birmingham area and the benefits of massage therapy are more than worth it.
