I went in May to get my hair done before having a baby. There was a special for a free cut if booking with Cameron, a stylist that was new to The Cutting Edge. I asked for really blonde highlights and my hair to be cut longer in front and shorter in the back. The pictures below were taken right after I got home. A week later I gave birth. I had called from the hospital and spoke to a manager about my hair and how I was unhappy with my haircut. She said that I could come in to get it fixed which I explained it was too short to fix and that I just had a baby. She said that she would put on my file that I would get a highlight and cut free of charge when I came in. She did not give a time frame. 10 months later, my hair is finally grown out enough to get it cut the way I want it and I was ready to have them fix it. When I called to schedule my appointment I was told that they could not honor the cut and highlight because I was supposed to come in within the month. 1. My hair was not fixable within that month, I needed to let it grow out and 2. She put in the notes I just had a baby, so it was not possible for me to come in right away. With a free haircut (since I booked with Cameron) I spent $124.00 on highlights on my short hair. Wasted money and terrible customer service.

I don’t know what my hair needed but Cameron obviously did, because my scalp and hair feel so much better. Before it felt heavy, always knotted, and dry. Now I keep running my hands through my hair because it’s so light and smooth; it’s like I got a new head of hair. He also did a great job with the cut; I just needed a trim and wanted light layering to change things up and he fulfilled that request and more. I didn’t ask him to frame my face with an angled cut, creating some sort of bangs, but he had the intuition to do so I guess and it looks awesome. He was also just a pleasant person to work with. Already scheduled my next appointment with him, I’m very satisfied.

Brooke is awesome with listening to you with what you’re looking to do with your hair & she also asks questions & makes suggestions. I was having a cut/color highlight with 2 colors & boy did we cut it & I had to let her know which color on the spectrum interacts with my medications & turns another color so she was glad that I knew that! She was happy to work with ‘virgin hair’ after we cut it & it turned out so beautiful! Plus the entire time, she is so sociable with you & is always offering you something to drink, etc! And the staff is just as friendly & kind! She is just a sweetheart & she does excellent work! I would recommend her to anyone that I know!
