I rarely leave a negative review or do reviews at all but I was so disappointed in my cut I couldn’t just say nothing and I’m doing this review right after I got home . I had Marcus as my barber with an appointment time of 5pm, arrived on time and didn’t get seated until 5:23pm. I told him taper fade with a detached goatee. There were too many times where I had to correct him on what I was looking for and it wasn’t symmetrical either, keep in mind I’m not a very picky person with my cut just make it look good enough. I am a black man and maybe Marcus doesn’t have enough experience cutting African American hair, I don’t know. But the cut was bad enough to where I came home and corrected my sideburns and goatee myself. I’m used to going to all black barbers but I’m new to the area and decided to try someplace new. But after this experience I’m going to have to think harder about where I go. $30 for a $10 cut and I’m livid.

Critical: Professionalism, Quality, ValueThe worst haircut I probably have had in five years. You walk in nobody says anything to you at all. Unprofessional. I finally had to ask if it was appointment only or walk in. It is not stated anywhere. Finally some guy decides to cut my hair does a horrible job. You can tell he does not know how to use clippers or handle a brush, nothing. I would not recommend this place to anyone at all. Complete waste of money. The worst haircut I probably have had in five years. You walk in nobody says anything to you at all. Unprofessional. I finally had to ask if it was appointment only or walk in. Critical: QualityMy usual barber was busy and I was in need of an urgent haircut. I looked this place up and saw that they had good reviews, I just wanted a regular buzz cut with a fade. I got a cut from Marcus. I asked for a buzz cut and a taper, seems simple enough but I spent an hour of my time getting a subpar haircut and didn’t want anything done with my beard but he cleaned it up anyway and charged me for a beard trim too. My fade is horrible and I won’t be coming back here personally, I saw the other barbers working right next to me and they were more experienced and definitely new how to cut hair but I wouldn’t recommend Marcus. My usual barber was busy and I was in need of an urgent haircut. I looked this place up and saw that they had good reviews, I just wanted a regular buzz cut with a fade. I got a cut from Marcus. This was my first time at this shop! Phil cut my hair and did an awesome job!! He is friendly, funny and cut my hair exactly how I wanted it! The shop is clean with a great atmosphere! I felt like I have been going there for years! I recommend if you want a real, clean haircut, The Cut and Shave is the place! I will make this shop my regular stop for my haircut! Thanks Phil!!

I’ve been bringing my kids with me for two months now and every time I’m more impressed. The atmosphere is family friendly. I don’t have to worry about them hearing anything inappropriate and that’s big for me. I love that when I’m organized and actually schedule an appointment, they are committed to that time and the wait is minimal. I also love that when I don’t, anyone… I mean anyone in the shop can cut my children’s hair well! It’s very professional and the clientele keep the same energy!

Just moved to this area…thought I’ll give it a shot. Marcus did an ok job on my hair. I asked for the haircut and razor shave special which is like $25…I got the haircut but not the razor shave. He just trimmed it with the machine. I ended paying like $30. For that prize I can go to sport clips and get better service and pay about the same. This place was not inviting no one said we will be right with you. They just stare and act busy. Wont be coming back here again.
