Imagine …. before any treatment starts … a relaxing yet stimulating head and neck massage. Heavenly. I too have just arrived in La Jolla. I was looking for someone who uses Goldwell products. I always “test out” a new salon by booking a shampoo and blow-dry. The stylist’s experience and quality is always revealed. Five stars for Mara. Now I use her for EVERYTHING. (ie foils, toner (glossing), hair treatments). She is w-o-n-d-e-r-f-u-l person with a kind spirit.

It has taken me a while to write a review for this salon, which I feel bad about. Mara, the owner, took me in when a stylist at a near salon just did not show up for my appointment. Mara started doing my hair about a year ago. She does my color, hair extensions, cut and gloss. I invited Mara to do my up do for my business photoshoot! Amazing! I loved her professionalism so much my entire family goes to her and our entire group of friends also go see her. I was happy to see my son Joshua wrote her a review. Thank you for doing my hair for my photoshoot and helping during the photoshoot. We highly recommend you.

Mara is an incredible artist. Not only is she extremely knowledgeable about any and all things hair related, but she utilizes that knowledge to help her clients become more educated about their own hair. With so many hair salons in San Diego, it’s really hard to find people you trust and Mara is definitely one of those people. Mara brought my dry hair back from the dead and my hair is the most healthy it has ever been. I always love any color or cut she gives me and love her adorable spot! She is also so accommodating in terms of making appointments and always has a smile on her face!

I am usually very difficult when I go to the hairdresser but Mara’s super nice attitude and helpful tips made my experience amazing. She recommended me a haircut which makes my hair look fuller, that I simply love. She also did a nourishing treatment and blow dry, and my hair looks so healthy and glamour now!! I highly recommend her, beautiful person and good expertise. I will definitely see her again soon!

This is the only place I go to get my hair cut! Mara (the owner) is truly passionate about her practice and ensures you leave happy and confident with the way your hair looks. I have been coming here for the last few months and have not looked anywhere else! Before, I bounced around a few different places and have had some trouble finding a good place to get a haircut. However, Mara worked with me the first time and remembers exactly what I like and don’t like each time I go in for a cut. Again, I wouldn’t go anywhere else and I highly recommend you visit her place!

Mara is flat out the best. I get my hair cut and least once a month but definitely want to go more often. I always feel like a king when im there and after a frsh cut. She has an amazing energy. Shes respectful and professional, is always up to date with the best products and information about how to best treat your hair and scalp. My hair has never looked and felt better! And i love that i actually get to learn about the best way to treat your hair. If you just use whats out there without knowing what the experts know then youre just not getting the best out of your own hair. Mara is an expert and it shows!!
