I love this salon in Harleysville. Each time I walk in, every one is friendly and welcoming. I am very picky with my hair and the service is beyond exceptional. The results are absolutely amazing considering they have found the perfect blonde for me when I was originally a dark brunette! I have been to a few stylists in the salon and all of them were fantastic! Each stylist takes the time to get to know you and to understand what outcome you’re looking to achieve. They will always find a way to make it happen! There is always great conversation flowing and the salon has such a relaxing atmosphere. Overall, the salon is gorgeous and the people who work here are absolutely wonderful at what they do!

I recently went to the colour bar after researching many salons in the area, and the atmosphere and personality of all of the staff/salon made me instantly realize that this is where I need to go to get my hair done. Coming here for my first ever salon-experience was the best decision I could have made. Nicole really took the time to understand what I wanted and put all her effort and time into making my goal happen! She was friendly, personable, and extremely reasonable. Today I realized it’s about time I wrote a review after I got a compliment on my hair from a hair stylist I just met. She commented on how well balanced my hair color was, how much dimension it had, and how nice the cut was. The first time I went to the Colour Bar I had a bad box color, and I had gotten a cut at a chain salon that was much shorter in the back than I wanted, it was impossible for me to style, and I was desperate to get if fixed. I called to see if I could get an appointment , and an hour later I was with Nicole. She is an amazing stylist, and a really sweet person. I got a beautiful Balayage and a great style that I can be happy with until my hair grows out in the back. My boyfriend, who hardly ever comments on anything, kept staring at my hair and telling me how great I looked. Every time I have been back for a trim and color touch up, it looks amazing and I get loads of compliments. I absolutely love Nicole, and I don’t think you could go wrong with any of the stylist at the Colour Bar. Every person I have seen there walks out looking great. It’s a great atmosphere here because all of the employees are friendly and pleasant. I also have to mention the very comfortable, adjustable shampoo bowls. You couldn’t ask for anything more!

I was super excited to try this salon, but left feeling unsatisfied. I requested a balayage with a red/auburn tint, but the stylist said she couldn’t do that and didn’t think it would look good on me so she convinced me to try something else. Although I ended up liking her alternative, I was disappointed that I couldn’t get what I really wanted. I ended up going to a different salon that had no issue giving me that auburn tone I wanted and now love! I also wish that the stylist was less conversational with her coworkers/boss and more conversational with me (a first time client!!). Overall, the outcome was fine, but I won’t be returning or recommending to friends.

Danyell did a wonderful job with my haircut! She knew just what I meant even though I wasn’t very clear when I tried to describe the hairstyle I wanted. The place is really nice and the service was very professional and friendly. My hair looks awesome and now the only thing I regret is that I won’t be able to get my hair done by Danyell until next time I’m in town visiting my family. Highly recommend!!!
