Positive: Cleanliness, Professionalism, QualityI was Jimmy’s first customer at the Color Lab, but I’ve gone to Jimmy for my past 2 color appointments at his previous salon. If you follow him on instagram, you know he’s called the king of balayage…if you’ve had your hair done by him, you know WHY he is the king of balayage. He did a phenomenal job on my hair every time, and I walk out obsessed every time. (And that’s difficult to do, since I don’t particularly like my hair to begin with.). He gives you great aftercare tips and helps you maintain the integrity of your hair, which is especially important with bleaching! My hair always feels healthy afterwards- unlike some places that leave your hair feeling like straw when you go blonde. Beyond the hair though, Jimmy told me he opened up his own spot to create a more inclusive space where and ALL hair types are welcome and celebrated. You can feel that the moment you walk through the door. (Bonus, his space is clean, comfortable, and private.) I was Jimmy’s first customer at the Color Lab, but I’ve gone to Jimmy for my past 2 color appointments at his previous salon. If you follow him on instagram, you know he’s called the king of balayage…if you’ve had your hair done by him, you know WHY he is the king of balayage. He did a phenomenal job on my hair every time, and I walk out obsessed every time. (And that’s difficult to do, since I don’t particularly like my hair to begin with.). I was skeptical to have balayage put in my virgin brunette hair – but Jimmy at the Color Lab impressed me so much with this honey addition! I love the contrasting colors and the added volume and shine. He was professional, his space is clean and modern, and the final product was beautiful. I will absolutely be returning to The Color Lab again and again!

Jimmy is hands down the BEST colorist & stylist to ever touch hair.I was recommended to Jimmy by a friend who ALWAYS has the coolest hair, so I knew I was in good hands. My first time seeing Jimmy, I wanted to take my jet black hair to an ashy gray / silver and he did JUST that. He patiently and slowly lifted my hair so he could add the perfect color & I left completely floored and beyond happy with the result. I continued to see Jimmy biweekly for touch ups & he NEVER EVER disappointed.About a month ago, I decided I was ready for yet another change & per Jimmy’s recommendation, I went blonde. Jimmy carefully lifted me to the perfect platinum blonde with barely any damage or breakage. He gave me strict aftercare instructions to follow and my hair looks and feels as soft, silky and healthy as ever before. I’ve lost count on the amount of compliments i receive in a daily basis. Friends & family that know how dark my natural hair is are always floored in amazement at Jimmy’s work.What I love most about Jimmy aside from the VERY obvious talent & endless knowledge of all things hair, is that he’s totally honest about what you should and shouldn’t expect in every session. Jimmy would rather maintain his integrity than do something he knows wouldn’t work for your hair. There is no one else I would trust than Jimmy & no one else I want to touch my hair again. The blend was perfect!! I’ve had such difficulty trying to find an hair colorist / stylist for the past few years.. SO glad I found him! He is so knowledgeable about all kinds of hair colors, even extreme ones. My daughter has seen him multiple times. She just brings him a picture of the color she wants and every time he replicates it perfectly! From mermaid hair, to deep navy blue to a rich dark emerald green, she always leaves with an amazing look. He also is a master at hair care. She has come in with some seriously damaged hair and he knew just what to do to repair and bring her hair back to life!
