A friend told me about Abby at color contour, so I bit the bullet and made an appointment. I had a picture that I wanted her to copy for the haircut. Guess what? I forgot the picture at home so I just try to describe the haircut, and what she did to my hair was much much better than the picture! We have just recently moved here and I was a bit apprehensive about finding a hairstylist. A friend told me about Abby at color contour, so I bit the bullet and made an appointment. I had a picture that I wanted her to copy for the haircut. Guess what? I forgot the picture at home so I just try to describe the haircut, and what she did to my hair was much much better than the picture! I am so glad that I found her, she is the best!

If you want a perfect hair cut this is the place to go. They have a sign that says walk ins welcomed but don’t gamble on that. I can barely get an appointment in two weeks if I miss my appointment! They are so good people don’t want to miss their appointments. Brittany cuts my hair and she is excellent! I don’t want to say that because if I have to cancel I don’t want my wait time to be longer. But Brittany deserves a shout out! She takes the time needed to understand your hair (because it is different for everyone) and helps you to a point where you will love your hair again! Love this place almost to a sick stalker diposition when I miss my appointments. They fulfill my need to have a nice salon with talented, confident hair dresser! This review is turning into the sick and mental review. Sorry. My point being, if you are looking for a great salon you will find it here.

5 STARS ALL THE WAY! EVERY SINGLE APPOINTMENT! MEAGAN IS MY HAIR GODDESS! Never, ever disappointed with my hair services at The Colour Couture! Best place in MHC or anywhere around to get your hair done. Meagan & the girls are the best around! I’m very picky about my hair, when I lived our of State, I flew back to NC for Meagan to do my hair. I only trust Meagan to touch my hair! Go see them at TCC, you won’t regret it!

I was refered by a co worker. I went in their thinking she was going to give me some ideas on how to do my hair I set my appt 1 month ahead and I showed her what i wanted and if she couldn’t do that their was the alternative picture and she said okay and started my hair. I have no idea of what she was going do or give me a explanation on the steps or what products she was using on my hair. The small talk I had to initiate. She didnt ask me if I wanted to cut my hair a certain way and didnt bother to tell me what products I should use on my hair now that its bleached. I asked her those questions. She was kinda complaining telling me my hair is thick. Sorry I’m not bald. I think she overcharged me. FYI my hair was virgin hair and dark brown. But I gave her a tip for her troubles with my hair. After she was done. I looked at my hair and I said I liked it. Then again I was late to work already so i left in a hurry and didnt have a good look at it. I went to work and they told me the back of my head was a weird color and she didn’t bother to show me the back of head at the salon with a mirror. Like they usually do. I went to a mirror with natural light and I hated what I saw. The front and back were two different colors and it looked like she wasnt done. I went back and said i didnt like my hair that it looked like highlights and that’s not what I wanted. My hair didnt look like neither of the pictures that I showed her!!! She came up to me and asked me if I wanted to lighten my hair (bleach) I wasnt going to bleach hair 2x in less than 24hrs, and i was not going go wait 1 month for a appt. So I just said to darken my hair on top my head to the natural hair color dark brown. She seemed kind upset to darken my hair. She told me if it was okay to leave with my hair wet….I said okay….after she was done I asked her if she could give me a blow dryer and i could dry it myself. Which is STUPID when she should be the one doing it for me since I’m unhappy with the results but whatever I was helping out because someone was waiting on her. She dyed my hair and I put it up on a ponytail and left. Am I happy with my hair no not really, do I want to shave it all off and just go back to my natural dark brown hair. Kinda. But I just paid 170 so I’m gonna have to grow into it.

Stephanie did AMAZING on my hair. I came in with hair that needed fixed super bad and I told her to do what she felt would look good. I LOVE HOW IT TURNED OUT. I definetely will be coming back to her every time & I highly recommend Stephanie to anybody

Cut was ok. Brought in a pic and hairstylist said no problem. Asked her a few times how to achieve this look when I left and how to do my hair… told her numerous times I am clueless about how to do hair and she brushed me off every time. Didn’t feel like she listened or really felt like taking the time to help me. Probably won’t be back.
