She takes the time to really understand what your hair goals are and then is able to deliver the most remarkable color results. I change my hair color regularly and she is able to make each one stunning. Susan Winn is also amazing for hair extensions and perfects cuts. I have been going to the Color Cafe for almost 10 years. Kim Sclafani is the absolute best master colorist. She takes the time to really understand what your hair goals are and then is able to deliver the most remarkable color results. I’m almost 100% gray so I get my base color done and also highlights with foil or balayage, depending upon the look I am after. I am not easy to please and I have been happy with my color and have never strayed. Ashley who has trained under Kim for as long as I have known Kim is also an amazing colorist. I see her as well for my color. For the people that have ended up disappointed I don’t know what to say. Sometimes communicating what color you want can be interpreted different ways, I think it’s always best to show a photo and really communicate what it is that you want. Be clear. And in the end if you feel that you wished your color was a little darker or lighter, tell them, they are so nice and accommodating. I really love all the women that work here. I have been seeing Kim for my color for 10 years now. I’m almost 100% gray so I get my base color done and also highlights with foil or balayage, depending upon the look I am after. I am not easy to please and I have been happy with my color and have never strayed. Ashley who has trained under Kim for as long as I have known Kim is also an amazing colorist. I have been working with Ashley for five years now; love her! I always come to my appointments with some photos for ideas but ultimately leave the recommendations up to her, as the professional. She always does an outstanding job. I also go to Lauren for haircuts and she is great! In speaking with them both, it’s apparent that continual professional development is very important, which I appreciate. Thanks ladies!

Critical: ProfessionalismI would give no stars but that’s not an option. Stay away if you are a blond!! The owner (thinks)she’s the best colorist out there. Kim turned my blond hair brassy, red and gold, all the colors I hate ( I was loud and clear prior to sitting in her chair). Kim will not take ownership of her mistake. I went back in for her to fix her mistake and she made it worse, the damage/breakage and she’s a L’Oréal specialist – lol.. I went to get color advice on the mess she left me and I was told do not touch your hair for months (its in bad shape) and that the job was performed by an incompetent, uneducated colorist!Service: Hair coloringI would give no stars but that’s not an option.
