Transparent post: I stepped on the scales today. I am down 6 lbs from Dec. 6 (one of the rare times I’ve ever lost weight during the holidays) and down 24 lbs since I started the Semaglutide injection in October. It is a program through The Body Bar in Corbin. The significance of this weight number is it is 2 lbs lower than my weight prior to Brynlee’s accident on February 11, 2020 and then all the grief/covid eating that followed. This plan may not be for everyone. However, I’ve been very pleased with the results. Thank you to my friends who encouraged me to try it. I just looked back through myfitnesspal where I have tracked all my losses and gains over the years. I am 25 lbs from where I was prior to our Scentsy Mediterranean Cruise in June 2018 and then I had my Mommy make-over upon our return which required 8 weeks of basic bed-rest recovery and eating comfort food. I am also 50 lbs from the lowest I was in 2012. So, it’s been 10 years since I’ve been at that weight. It really is a marathon and not a sprint. As an emotional eater, losing my Dad in 2013, being executrix for 7 years then losing Brynlee followed by covid, I endured so many hits. It feels so good to have finally found something that seems to be working for me again. My knees, hips, lower back, etc. will be so grateful. My biggest success prior to now was using the HCG plan. However, like anything, I just was burnt out on that regimen. So, here I am, being transparent about my latest success. The main thing about weightloss is you have to find what works for you! Nothing is a quick fix and the mental aspect is as important as the physical. Thanks Angela, for the encouragement to try this new method. Thanks to Gloria Vito for the teleconferences through The Body Bar. I’m excited about my progress and look forward to the months ahead.
