Critical: Professionalism, QualityI got a hair cut by Jessica about a month ago and she did a great job, no complaints there. I loved the vibe of the salon, and had been wanting a split dye for a few months so I asked her if she thought it was possible in two sessions or less. I thought I was pretty clear in stating that I did not want platinum and black, I wanted medium/dark brown and light/medium blonde. It seemed like she understood so I came in and she got to work. The dark side is okay, it’s darker than I originally wanted but it’s fine. She started in the bleach, and that’s when I should have spoken up. I know my roots process faster and I was quite uncomfortable with her technique. The front of my hair was processing for far longer than the back. Her next client came in and I could tell she was trying to rush through the rinse and tone. She put me under the dryer and I took a quick look before I left, thinking everything was fine. When I got home, I realized everything was not fine. I had two completely different colors on the blonde side. I had previously communicated that I understood that my blonde may not be perfectly one tone, but this was taking it a little too far. I called the salon. The person that answered told me I would need to contact Jessica. Later that day, Jessica called me. I told her I was unhappy and looking for a fix. She spent a solid 5 minutes telling me that I liked that hair and that it looked good, despite me repeatedly saying I did not like it. She stated that I should have known my hair was going to look like that and she did exactly what I had asked. She told me that any fix wasn’t going to be what I wanted and she didn’t know why she would even do that wouldn’t damage my hair. Luckily, I was able to fix it myself, but I do not recommend getting your hair lightened by Jessica. I was stunned at the way she attempted to convince me my hair was fine when I could clearly see, as could all my friends, that it was not fine. Very rude toned receptionist when I got a call back for an appointment for stylist Jessica who a really good friend recommended! I’ll take it the receptionist was having a bad day or just not friendly in general. I was given an appointment date but honestly the snarkiness was too much and just not worth it to me throughout the phone call. I told her she was coming across very rude and unfriendly and to forget it! I’m sure Jessica is great but to go through a gorilla receptionist is not needed!

Fantastic Place. I have been going here for almost 15 years. I’ll often travel about 2 and a half hours to get the cut done. I’ve had everyone who works here cut my hair at one point – they all have done fantastic. Eric is my current go to guy and his flexible and accommodating schedule helps fit my needs.

Curly cut gone bad. Nice experience. Great product recommendations. Bad, bad cut! Unlike my previous Deva Cuts elsewhere, my ends are blunt and one side is visibly shorter. The shape is the dreaded curl triangle. The layers don’t add shape or volume but escape every up do. The ends of interior curls aren’t clean not having been cut in the “c” of the curl but rather many curls bluntly cut together yielding straggly ends when the curls regroup. Maybe it’s just my varied curl type but it’s so bad I’ll have to go somewhere else to fix it.
