Critical: Professionalism, Quality- My lash extensions were applied poorly by Jen, the owner of The Beauty Lounge. The worst extensions I’ve had. 1-2 weeks in I had to personally remove two clumps of lashes, both of them had six of my natural lashes glued together. Both times four of my natural lashes were detached but two were still holding on. This resulted in a large chunk hanging down (see photo) into my eye and had to carefully remove the last two lashes that were still attached. Very painful experience and never had to do this before in the 15 months I’ve been getting lash extensions. Gluing just two natural lashes together is a big no-no let alone two sets of six glued together. There were also multiple clumps that fell off that had anywhere from two to four of my natural lashes glued together and multiple lash “fans” glued together (see photo).- Isolating a lash when gluing on a fan is very important. To not isolate the lashes and have them glued or clumped together will cause severe long-term damage to the natural lash.- I had a bad reaction to lash glue Jen uses. I’ve been to six other lash artists (I travel a lot) and never had a reaction like this. Burning, itchy, irritated, watery eyes for four days and a constant headache. I usually get a slight irritation with lash glue but it goes away by the next day and it’s far more mild than what I experienced at The Beauty Lounge.- Jen said she would do “light volume”, they were much larger than expected. Largest lashes I’ve had, so big they obstructed my vision. Jen did talk to me about how size varies from artist to artist. I was told by multiple people these looked like mega volume lashes.- Some of my bottom baby lashes were glued to the top lashes. This has happened with previous lash artists before. Although the way Jen pulled on them to get them free was a very uncomfortable experience.- She spent 30 minutes on a volume fill and still charged me full price. All other lash artists I’ve been to take at least 1.5 hrs for volume fill.- Had baby lashes glued funny so they poked my eyes for the first two weeks.- Couldn’t comb through lashes because so many were glued together.- For two weeks, in two areas, when I blinked something painfully poked my bottom eyelid. I’m guessing this was glue or the lash was glued to the eyelid.- I waited to write this review after I had another lash artist remove what Jen applied. I wanted an opinion from another artist to make sure I wasn’t overreacting. The artist confirmed that the lash extensions were not applied properly. Applying lashes in this fashion can be dangerous and cause serious damage. This was a painful experience and never before have I associated lash extensions with pain.Service: Eyelash extensions- My lash extensions were applied poorly by Jen, the owner of The Beauty Lounge.
