Monique is the best skin therapist. I went in for a scalp treatment. My hair was shedding and falling out in clumps, when I washed my hair I would see a large amounts of strands left behind. After just one scalp treatment I saw huge difference. When I brushed my hair only a few strands were left on the brush. Also I no longer dread washing my hair. Monique was very kind and helped with my scalp issues. She is definitely the one to go to for any skin concerns.

This delightful little salon is nestled in darling & quaint Brentwood. I travel here every 6 weeks from Livermore. The drive through the Altamont on Vasco Road is intoxicating; traversing the beautiful rolling hills, sprawling ranches, fruit stands and windmill farm.

This is the second time I have been unhappy with Shelby, I accidentally booked a second appointment with her but didn’t realize it until I got there. I asked for a few inches off and an undercut, she questioned the undercut and asked me how short, “do you want it to the skin or more like a 1?” she scoffed when I said I didn’t know the numbers. I’m not a professional and have never shaved any part of my hair. She didn’t bother explaining it to me or give me any examples. While looking at my hair she asked me what was going on with it in a tone that was obvious she didn’t approve, I told her I dyed it and was letting it fade (almost all the other color was gone but I admit there were some patches but it is MY hair). She said, “last time we dyed it pink though right?” a pink I didn’t want, btw, I had gone to her to lighten my hair so I could dye it pastel pink and she dyed my hair magenta. I told her “yes, but it faded and I wanted to dye it again.” She replied, “okay so next time we have to dye it a color that will fade to such a god awful color you don’t touch it.” On top of making me feel badly, my hair is very uneven. There are lots of strands longer than others and my entire right side is noticeably longer than the left and my undercut it not straight, it’s longer on the left side than the right. Whether she cut my hair this way purposely or not, I now have to pay someone else to fix it bc I will not be stepping foot back in this building. I’m angry that I spent $65 on an awful haircut and to be ridiculed about my own hair.

This place is amazing! I go here almost every month for highlights for $200 and they turn out So good! My kids (girls & boys) when I ask them for trims they actually do trims. Like some salons I ask them for a trim the cut more than 2 inches! So overall THIS PLACE IS THE BEST SALON! U SHOULD REALLY GO! I REALKY RECOMMEND IT!
