Well, you asked, Google. And I feel obligated to give an honest review. Don’t want anyone else to go through what I have. If I could give a zero, I would. If you show a stylist a picture, you might expect your haircut to look SOMEWHAT like it when done. Yeah, nope. She didn’t even take the TIME to look at the picture I showed her obviously. I ended up with a mess that is chopped up and WAY TOO SHORT. I am now stuck with an old lady short uneven haircut until it grows out. Betty said most of her clients have long hair. No kidding. A simple haircut took AN HOUR AND A HALF to complete! An hour of that was spent on the BACK of my head, then she barely did anything on the sides- so I have sides that don’t even go with the back. I had to go to someone else to try to get it fixed, but Betty had cut the back so short, the stylist couldn’t do much to fix it. Obviously she needs to go to more classes for shorter hair. She obviously had no idea what she was doing. I mean, I guess if you have LONG hair, you might be okay- just don’t ask for a detailed style to cut, she can’t do it. Thankfully, I guess, hair grows….but it’s gonna take awhile for this mess to. Do NOT recommend. Matter of fact, I don’t recommend anyone in Ottawa Kansas to be able to do a detailed short bob at all. Have gone to three now, and NONE of them has done it correctly. Go to the city!

Betty was wonderful! Location is convenient off of Main St & 2nd. She specializes in coloring and highlights (blonding and fashion colors). My daughter felt very easy in the chair while getting her hair done. Nicely decorated, quiet and well use of small space inside. Highly recommend. No walk ins/must schedule ahead.

Love Melissa! She always does a great job and makes me feel 1000 times better about my hair by the time I leave her shop. She takes her time and makes sure you are satisfied with your hair or nails or whatever you get done. Betty is an awesome person too and although I’ve never personally had her do my hair or anything I’ve seen her work and she’s amazing at what she does! Highly recommend the Beauty Barn

Betty is wonderful! Not only is she really great to get along with, she’s VERY knowledgeable. I came to her looking for a specific hair cut, but I expressed my concern with her that my old hair dresser, when asked if something would look good on me or not, would reply “I dunno it’s your hair.” Or would rip me off with hair color that would only last different varying amounts (I got three colors at one and two colors washed out in a month and the other color lasted for over a year). So when I showed Betty what I wanted, she proceeded to walk me through her thoughts and actions as to what would look best with my face but still matching the hair style.
