I was extremely disappointed with my visit to the Bvsement Salon. When I went searching for a place to do my hair for my small civil ceremony, I was calling around looking for prices. When I called the Bvsement, I spoke to the owner Amanda. I told her that I was getting married but it was a small ceremony and I just needed a curling and a half up, half down hairdo. She was super kind on the phone and quoted me two different prices: $60 for a hairstyle and $90 for a wash and hairstyle. I chose the wash and hairstyle and put down a deposit as was required for an appointment. When I got to the salon on the day of my appointment, the girls seemed professional and nice and I met my stylist and showed multiple pictures of the hairstyle I wanted which all were half up half down hairdo with curling. When I mentioned that I was getting married, the manager Jasmin swooped in, looked at the picture of the hairstyle I wanted, and said that it was too complex and that I had to pay the bridal service fee of $170 for that service. When I told her of my phone call with Amanda, she called her and told me that I misunderstood Amanda when I originally called her. I absolutely did not misunderstand because I doubled checked the numbers with Amanda twice while on the original phone call and she never mentioned the $170 service. I did not want to lose my deposit so I asked Jasmin if there were any services that I could get for the price of $40 and she said no and that the cheapest service they have was at $55 for a wash and blow dry.

I had such a great experience when visiting The Bvsement Hair Studio! Jasmine A. has been my hairstylist for years and never disappoints. The salon is super clean, comforting, and the girls are sweet + welcoming! I got offered snacks and beverages on my first visit which was so nice! I had my hair washed (so relaxing btw), cut, and blow dryed (I particularly really liked the scent that all of the products left on my hair & how it felt afterwards). All in all, I was happy with the services I received and would recommend this hair studio to anybody who would like to have a lovely experience as well.
