Worst haircut I have ever received. Wouldn’t trust the dude to fix it. I typically won’t go to the barbers because of inconsistency in cut quality but this assures I will NEVER go back. My usual barber wasn’t at his shop yesterday due to a family emergency so I crossed my fingers and went to the barbers in hazel dell. Asked for a skin fade. He was very kind and explained to me that he had cut hair for 32 years and worked at the barbers for 6. What I received was a hack job. Had to make an emergency appointment with a personal friend because I wouldn’t be able to show up to work with the cut I received. He didn’t spin me around in chair or show me the back of my head with mirror for full disclosure but I trusted he wouldn’t destroy my life for the 25 dollars I was paying. When I returned home my wife gasped before I could see the back. WOW. How do you continue to let someone cut hair. The barber that fixed it said when he “trimmed” the top he also backed it and it was uneven everywhere! 32 years of experience and 6 years at the barbers?! I’m disgusted.

I am leaving this review for Mercie, in particular. She is fairly new to the Barbers, but she cut my hair across the street for the last few years. She’s great! She does an excellent job each and every time, and remembers exactly how I like it cut. It’s always a fun conversation also, and she makes the whole visit very enjoyable. Now that she is at the Barbers, I can book a time online, which is also a bonus. Seriously, trust me and ask for Mercie! (Sorry for the bad pun)

Just had my first visit at The Barbers in Hazel Dell. I left another establishment after my hair stylist left. Lo and behold, much to my great surprise my hair stylist who used to cut my hair happened to be there as well. Mercie is awesome! She is meticulous, detail oriented, and provides outstanding service. She is great to talk to also. If you are looking for a great place to get your haircut by a great hair stylist, I can’t recommend enough The Barbers at the Hazell Dell location with Mercie!

Been coming here for about 3 years, no complaints. Certainly have my preferred cutter but I’ve had cuts from most barbers here and haven’t been disappointed. Recently brought my 2 year old in, also with good results (to be fair he’s quite manageable, but the experience was good none the less).
