My wife had been to Geneva a couple times on previous visits and convinced me to see her over the past Christmas holiday. It was the best facial I have ever had and the added bonus of the hot stone neck & shoulder massage made it unique. We opted for the non surgical facelift & we went back the following week for a second facial in her series. She is very knowledgeable & her home is so comfortable & welcoming. She recommended a skin care regime & products for me to use at home & my skin feels fantastic. I’ve received several compliments on how good my skin looks. Something that has never happened before. Firstly, this woman LOVES what she does, and she does it well! I felt welcome by Geneva and very relaxed in the charming space. There was a lovely view of the garden and I absolutely loved the facial she customized for my skin. I mean, what a great way to get away from the daily grind for an hour or two!

I was going out of the country and wanted to get my first bikini wax since there was a good Groupon deal. I left Geneva a voicemail to make an appointment, no response. A few days later I emailed her. She assumed I was a man and rejected my request. My name is chase, it was insulting to be judged that way, especially since I left my name in the voicemail that she never responded to. Her business is out of her house in a bad neighborhood. Horrible location. She took too long to respond and that signifies an irresponsible business owner. Anyway, after begging her to take me, I come to my appointment and she’s making a personal phone call. It took 10 minutes and I was just sitting there in her living room waiting. She didn’t know I had never waxed before, even though I mentioned that in both email and the phone. She instantly was irritated. She made me feel uncomfortable about the amount of hair I had, she was rude while waxing me, and she literally said, “You know, I don’t think I can do this with you,” when I asked her about her job because I assumed she concluded that it would take her too long to talk about it. She assumed I was sensitive which I’m not so the things she said like, “it’s your choice if you want it to hurt,” and telling me to yell when she rips of the paper, was completely unnecessary. She charged me an extra fifteen dollars because I had more hair than usual. She is an awful business owner. I’m astonished with these good reviews. She was rude throughout the whole appointment. Absolutely will tell my friends in college never to go to The Alchemy of Beauty, because Geneva, the owner, was so greedy and lazy. She was so horrible! She didn’t do a good job either. Patchy!
