I absolutely love this salon. My daughter and I have been going to Textures for just about 2.5 years. Montoya is an amazing stylist and she truly cares about her client’s. Emmy is our braider and we love her! Their work is always so neat and exactly what I asked for. It feels like family when I go.

Most importantly I’ve never experienced heat damage after Montoya straightens my hair, my curls bounce back effortlessly every time. I received a silk press in Oct. 2022. This is a late review because I was thinking about trying another stylist and within my search I found a few other reviews of others who had the same results as me so I thought I’d share mine. Also, because of their “refund” policy I did not bother to contact the salon to inform them I was not satisfied just to be more disappointed and I did not want a “redo” as I am natural so minimizing heat is my goal and I know other stylist who are capable of achieving a silk press in 1-2 passes with the iron. I left the salon with some frizz but by the end of the day, my hair was totally poofed and frizzy. I’ve been getting silk presses from various salons for over 10 years and this is the first time it didn’t last more than a day…The deduction in stars is due to the lack of a silk press and price. I gave 2 stars for the shampoo, treatment, and the trim.

Completely blown away by the service here at Textures. Everything from booking my appointment online to a see less checkout was perfect! MiMi who did my twists and deep conditioning was phenomenal! The vibe here is amazing and that scalp massage during my wash was EVERYTHING!!!

I visited twice and was not happy with my results over time. The first time I got crochets. They didn’t last long at all. The second time I got a quick weave that took 4.5 hours! The hair they recommended was poor and my scalp was so dry that I had it taken out a week later. I really liked the presence and professionalism of the salon that’s why I tried again. Both times I received newly licensed stylists so maybe that was the culprit. Also, I noticed they weren’t mindful of media content when children were around. I didn’t bring my child but on both occasions there were child clients exposed to tv or movies that had language or behavior inappropriate for them. No one opted to pause until the children left or make a different selection. Very disappointed.

Very friendly staff. I moved in 2020 and Tasheda is my stylist. She is very professional, genuinely cares about your look and the way it makes you feel. If you ask for her advice on styling and colors she makes you feel like family, like it’s your sister or best friend with her warm and friendly personality. The prices are competitive with the area so although it may seem high, when you compare it to the DMV it’s right; the difference is that you will get the look you want for the service provided A+. I highly recommend this establishment. All the ladies are great!!!!
