Y’all, this is officially my new favorite salon. I had an AMAZING experience here! 🙂 I am a mom of 2 babies…actual babies, barely 2 and almost 1…and most days I don’t even get the chance to wash my hair, let alone style it and make myself feel “put together”. As a mama, I don’t tend to think of myself these days, anyway…it’s always what I can do for my babies, or even my fiance. I haven’t even had my hair cut professionally in 5 or 6 years. Well, recently I decided (with some gentle prodding from the fiance lol) that for this mother’s day, I wanted to treat myself and get my hair done. I wanted something really nice, completely different than what I’ve had forever and a day. So I googled salons near me and started reading reviews and visiting their websites. I came across Textur and the reviews were GLOWING, so I went to the Facebook page and chatted with who ended up being the owner, Renee. I made an appointment, and went in yesterday to see her. She was very friendly and inviting, had a space that was more private, and just made me feel super welcome. I had decided on a SUPER specific look (I can be a bit type a, but I’m also not that attached to my hair…but obviously would like it to look nice, regardless). She didn’t seem annoyed or impatient with me at any point. As I started to describe the color I wanted, and grab my phone, and she asked if I had pictures. “Oh, do I?” I said as I showed her my probably 30+ inspo pics because the color I wanted was VERY specific (an ash blonde, not platinum or icy, or honey or golden or strawberry…I knew exactly the shade I wanted lol) and she actually appreciated my specificity. She looked at all the pictures, listened intently to my explanation and even asked clarifying questions… then gave me her opinion (which I asked for). She told me what she thought would look good, and I pretty much told her I was in her capable hands…and oh boy, was I!!

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this place! Renee is absolutely perfect for what she does! It seems like there is no question she can’t answer and no request she can’t fulfill! Very little waiting (if any) for appointments, and when you leave, she makes certain you got what you came for! Many years of experience, friendly, and very affordable! I’m “home!”
