I am Bernadette Brown, Licensed Massage Therapist since 2010 and owner of Targeted Therapeutic Massage. I specialize in upper body pain relief. I treat people who have chronic pain and acute issues mainly in the head, neck, shoulders, and back. Whether you’re a person with “tech neck,” frequent tension headaches, hand and forearm pain or stiffness due to overuse and long periods of typing or repetitive movements, pain and tightness from jaw clenching, pressure, soreness or pain between shoulders, low back pain from sitting or standing for long periods, have high stress or anxiety, or just unable to perform self care. Bernadette was great! First of all, she was very responsive. I was able to get in and make an appointment quickly. Next, she sent me intake forms asking about issues I may be experiencing as well as any medical conditions I might have. She also called me beforehand to talk through her expectations and explain what she does, which I really appreciated! It definitely put me at ease. I had a great experience. The therapist called to discuss my up coming appointment and asked what i was looking for. Once i arrived she went over my pain points and discussed the type of massage would be best. She was able to relieve a lot of the tension in my next and shoulders. I recommend Targeted Therapeutic Massage. Bernadette is skilled and knowledgeable. She has helped relieve my pain and stiffness in my shoulders and neck. I have had sciatic pain for most of my life, and I have seen many massage therapists. Bernadette worked on the area in a way previous massage therapists had not. She stretched the tight muscles in the area, opening the sciatic canal. While she was working on the area, I felt great relief, like the constant pressure on my low back was lifted. This massage helped to increase my overall mobility and decreased my siffness and pain. Bernadette suggested a treatment plan of four more sessions over eight weeks, and I look forward to continued improvement in my physical health.

Bernadette is amazing. She really gets down deep and hits those muscles that hide from a regular massage. I sit at a computer all day every day and my back neck and shoulders get painful knots. I get regular deep tissue massages that help for a day or two but then I always feel the knot forming back. After seeing Bernadette just once, I’ve experienced the most relief yet. I can’t wait to see how I feel after a few more.
