This is a new facility and it seemed clean and friendly so I purchased two gift cards for a month of tanning as gifts. I told Tanlines I didn’t want a package of any sort and I did not sign up for a package because this was a gift for a couple before a Florida trip, in fact they were both leaving out of town for college after that. They said “no problem” they would just have the gift cards for a month. I made this extra clear because tanning companies like gym memberships are notorious for forced charges on credit cards that customers cannot stop. Well guess what. Afterwards they continued charging my credit card for many months – automatically withdrawing two charges twice each month totaling approximately $150. I called Tanlines and told the girl working the desk about these unauthorized charges and she said I would need to call the owners to get that fixed because she didn’t know how. Ok.. hmmm.. she works there but doesn’t know how to handle this? She gave me the owner’s cell phone number because apparently I was supposed to track them down. I called the owner’s cell phone and there was no answer so I left a message and called Tanlines again and gave the girl my name, number and all related info for the owners to get in touch. The owners never called and the charges continued. I had to close my credit card, dispute the charges (my bank reversed them because there was clearly zero tanning for the months they charged) and I thought it was settled. When my new credit card arrived I checked the statement and the charges had transferred !! They continued automatically withdrawing without consent, permission or anyone even tanning again. I called Tanlines again and another front desk person (this one very rude) told me she just works there and don’t take it out in her. Again they told me to call the mystery owner. I told her I wasn’t doing that anymore, they need to call me and I don’t authorize these charges. The owner never called (again). I had to go through three departments with the CC department to finally block all charges from Tanlines forever. This went on so long they had deducted close to $1k. Although the owner doesn’t return calls I hope they read this review because this part of for them. ***After my experience I think you are dishonest, incompetent and you should train your employees. Shame on you and your poor business practices!!***

They apologized to me, plenty, at least the person who said they did it by mistake/accident did, but still as a first time customer they put me in a level 4 bed for 10 minutes. I had burns for about 3 weeks.

I have heard that the gym across the street offers level 3 and 4 tanning plus gym membership for 25 dollars a month. I pay 31 a month for a level one. I have been a member of tanlines for years. I hope they can give me something? I always liked tanlines and would hate to leave but kinda crazy to pay more and get way less. Just my opinion
