Cancellation policy is terrible I have a 4:30 appointment for tomorrow and called to cancel at 5:28 today due to emergency that happened the person that answered phone was very rude and says you missed the 24 hour cancellation and that means I will be charged a $20 fee on my next visit. The owner Tang really makes me feel uncomfortable when you walk in she stares you down and doesn’t speak. I’m African American and it seems like I’m not welcome my manicurist is good at her craft but it’s a shame I will never return to this shop.

I don’t usually post negative reviews, especially for small businesses, but I cannot believe I am the only one who has had this experience. I have been a customer of Tang’s for several years and normally book my future appointments before I leave. The last time I was in the salon I had to leave quickly due to another appointment and never booked for the next time. When I called the salon to book the appointment, Tang answered the phone. I told her I wanted to make an appointment with Mariah, my usual technician. She asked when I wanted to come in and I told her I was very flexible, that I could come when Mariah had free time. I don’t think Tang even looked at the book but told me she would call me back. She never called me. After two weeks, I called to book again and had the same experience. Tang answered the phone, I said I was flexible, and again I was told she would call me back. I asked her when I would get a call back, that the last time she never called. Tang’s response was, “I’ll call you right back.” That was the beginning of July, and I never got a call back. Unfortunately, as much as I enjoy working with Mariah, I will not support a business when the owner just doesn’t care.

Extremely unprofessional & dirty. The owner Tang does not deserve anyone’s hard earned money… she is extremely rude, combative, argumentative. She yells at the workers constantly in front of the customers, she is not organized and never books the time and days you tell her. She literally called and screamed at me over the phone on an appointment she booked incorrectly. ZERO professionalism and unreasonable. Also, when you first walk into the salon, you think it’s very clean because it’s a newer salon, but it’s not. Old residue is always in the pedicure bins, tools are not professionally cleaned to code, workers work even when they have Covid because the owner doesn’t care. It’s a disgusting salon, with a disgusting owner. Save your money and give to an owner and business who actually cares.

I don’t usually post anything negative in regard to small businesses, however I feel this is something that is important to know prior to visiting this particular business. I had been a long time customer of Tangs and had referred many others to her. It is true, yes, they are very busy, but I used to always secure appointments with Tang, the owner. As my schedule got busier, so did Tangs, which is not the problem. I was finally able to secure appointments that worked for me with another manicurist, whom was fantastic; however the owner did not like this, and many times tried to call me when she had last minute cancellations. I stuck to my schedule with the other manicurist, because I didnt think it was fair to my other manicurist, but apparently this was a problem with Tang, so she stopped speaking to me all together when I visited her salon. Not only is this completely unprofessional, but it is pettiness, at its finest. I just recently visited there last week, Tang, the owner, did not even speak to me, no greeting, nothing. After my service was finished, my manicurist informed me that Tang was charging me $20 for a missed appointment months ago, in addition to my pedicure charge. While I understand this is her policy to charge for missed appointments, my husband had been hospitalized at the time of my previous appointment, so I tried to call to reschedule and explain my situation. One would think that after more than a year of my business, and the business of others, she would take this into consideration and work with me since it wasn’t an intentional missed appointment, but I had an emergency and tried to reschedule. Obviously, I will not be back and unfortunately in this case, word of mouth travels. Think twice before visiting Tangs. There are too many other choices in this area.
