Recently moved to the area from Chicago and needed to get my hair done after taking down my sew in. I am so happy I found them!! They were able to fit me in same day and did an amazing job. I have A LOT of hair and am natural. Time was taken to make sure I was combed out prior to washing. I attempted to comb it out myself prior to arriving. Didn’t do it well, Lee stopped the washer and had her comb me out. My stylist gave me crochet goddess locs. She was amazing didn’t braid my hair too tight. What’s also great is that they have hair on supply! I didn’t bring enough packs was able to purchase through them and my hair came out beautifully. Will be back!!

This place does far more then hair care. Me and my mom went together so I can cut my hair after 16 years. The stylists were so kind and understanding of why I wanted so much gone, and even shown me how to do better for my hair.

I was very disappointed and will not be referring any of one of my family or friends to not only never request the stylist that I was referred but even more reason I will not be a returning client is. My stylist was suppose to be the owner, herself. Wow, can’t express how this was my worst 1st time experience with not my stylist but owner’s professional service definately left me very,very sad and took all the joy out of my 1st time at her salon. This was my worst experience and not what I expected. I’m really trying not to leave in tears from the salon since I was really looking forward to getting an awesome hair 1st time experience at this salon that I only was going to because I was referred to personally ask for Lee who didn’t do my hair, at all. However, I’m grateful to the stylist who ended up doing my hair. She not only had better customer service skills but she did an awesome job trying to make my overall experience better. Shy and Ted did awesome work on my hair and if wasn’t for rest of staff there I would have had walked out without my hair done so thank you to those of you who took the time to make my experience better even though I will not ever return or refer anyone there again. Tangle’s & Locs Salon will not be my preferred salon due to very poor serivce from owner! Terrible service from Lee!!!

12/10 stars honestly. I took my daughter to get her a trim and her hairstylist was SO great. She was really attentive in calming my nerves as well as my daughter (4yo). Definitely our family hair salon from now on!

Oh my, the owner(Lee)completely saturated my quickweave. She stated before, I’m not going to get your hair completely wet bc it’s a quickweave. A lady came in for service & I guess she was completely distracted. The lady talked to her the whole time & not only did she saturate my weave to cut it, she continued to spray it with water. My brand new hair I bought for the style, was ruined & the whole thing came off. I had to go to the hair store, wait for it to open & buy more hair. Not only that, she left & did not say anything & someone else begins to look at my hair. The other stylist looked in dismay & stated, she didn’t even mold your hair down right or. This is completely wrong, I just shook my head. I asked if she would still do it, she said yes but not today. We rescheduled for the next day, but I overslept .

I loved the facial . My face feels like a baby skin at the end. Really, It was my first time in this place and omg it was a great experience. I definitely recommend it with everyone. Tangle’s and Locs salon is my favorite place now.

I really wanted to like this place. So badly. I got a curly hair trim… it was very rushed and the stylist was not gentle at all. She was *tearing* through my hair with a comb without any conditioner – not gentle at all. It wasn’t necessarily painful but definitely not how someone detangles hair as curly as mine. You’re just asking for breakage. I thought she knew what she was doing since she was also a mixed woman so she was either really trying to rush through my appointment, didn’t know how to detangle curly hair correctly or didn’t really care. The final results aren’t bad, I don’t hate it… it was just a regular trim and she didn’t take too much off. I just wish it wasn’t such a rushed appointment (the entire appointment was a half hour even though it should have been an hour) and she took better care to detangle my hair. Although everyone was perfectly pleasant and the atmosphere was fine and my hair doesn’t look bad, I won’t be returning. Really wanted to like this business. Pretty disappointed. Still on the search for a good curly hair stylist in the greater Seattle area.

10/10 recommend!!! I went in to Tangles and locs for crotchet butterfly locs and am soooo happy with my hair and customer service I received! Everyone from the time I came in for the consultation was absolutely great and so helpful with answering all my questions cause I wasn’t sure which service to get at first for the look I was going for. Also, my service started at 9am and I was given the estimated time I should be done which was noon and I was literally leaving the salon at exactly 12pm on the dot which I suuuper appreciated because not all salons are respectful of your time like that, but tangles and locs definitely are!! My hairstylist was Drina who was so nice the whole time and did such a great job!! Thank you to the whole staff for being so friendly and helpful , and if you haven’t checked them out definitely try them for your braiding, locs and all hair needs! I will for sure be back!!
