Katey Johnston is wonderful. I have really long thick hair and it was a crazy Covid mess. She was quick, confident and knew exactly what to do. I have had stylists that are scared to “mess up” long hair. She cut a TON of my hair off, like 50%, into perfect, fun choppy layers, while keeping the length. She didn’t try to upsell or push me into fancy styling. It looked SO good I cried happy tears. I highly recommend!

Katey is the BEST!! I called for a last minute hair cut and was able to get in within 45 minutes. It was my first time at Tangles, so I wasn’t sure what to expect. After explaining to Katey what I wanted and her asking a few questions to make sure she understood what I was looking for, she did her thing and didn’t disappoint. Most of the time I like to sit in the chair and relax while getting my hair cut, so I appreciated her not trying to make small talk the entire time (Bonus points). She is very friendly, professional, and double checks to make sure your hair is cut just the way you want before getting out of the chair. I will definitely be going back to see her for my next cut. Love Katy Johnston! I tend to wait longer than I should before coming in to get my hair done. Fortunately, Katie always does a great job cutting and styling it, and I always leave happy. Katie has a good eye for the shape and style that suits the look you want.

Over the past weekend I had Tangles do hair for my wedding. Angie was a pleasure to work with from the start. I had no problems getting ahold of her and she worked with my schedule. We had 10 girls get their hair done and Tangles came on site and did a fantastic job. Angie did my hair and I was so impressed she did a great job! We all received so many compliments. I would highly recommend Tangles if you have an Eastern Shore wedding.

I strongly feel the need to make this post because I am so angry with the lack of business from Tangles. Since the first week of April, I have called the salon 4 times and sent 2 emails requesting to speak with Angie, or someone, about booking hair services for my wedding. Every time I call I’m told that I must speak with Angie, and that she is not available. I’ve asked when a better time would be for me to call back, and I’ve called back during those better hours, yet she is still unavailable. Several times, I’ve left my cell number and email, but have yet to get any response. Planning a wedding is very stressful, and this lack of business has only made the experience that much more frustrating.

The cute was uneven, not stylist and just a bad cut. When my girlfriends saw me their first question was “What happened to your hair?” I needed to go the next day and have it cut shorter to fix the uneven layers. My hair is/was about 4′”s pass my shoulders. I am not a picky client and will sometimes cut my own hair depending on how busy my schedule is so for me to complain is not the norm.
