I found this place by looking for a hair salon that was good with kids. My daughter has some sensory issues and I was wanting someone who would understand. I found a 2 star review that said Allison was great with this person’s autistic child. We went and requested Allison. She is amazing and did so great with my daughter. I just thought 2 stars was not enough so im giving this review.. We will definitely be back. Thank you so much Allison.

Allison does an amazing job working with our 4 year old. He has Autism with sensory processing issues. She is very calm and takes her time. Now the bad part… my husband was also on the list to get his hair cut. Another young man came in and signed in after us. Nobody told us it would be an hour wait. A stylist with black hair, not sure of name but two booths down from Allison, came in with someone who was clearly a friend. She sat him down and ignored everyone who had come in and was waiting. She proceeded to highlight his hair. She spent an hour putting foil on his short hair and talking. She finishes, leaves for 15 minutes, comes back and starts dying his roots. At NO point in time did she acknowledge the people waiting. She didn’t let anyone know if she would be with them or anything. I feel this is extremely rude and unprofessional. Everyone left because we all felt she would rather hang out and gossip with her friend than take care of other customers waiting. She could have cut one of the men’s hair in the time she disappeared between colors on the friend.

I went in at 6:30, they closed at 7, I felt as if the young girl that did my hair was in a hurry to leave. She had to ask me if it was straight enough and I had to ask her to trim my back neck hairs. I just thought these were things a professional already knew. And the music that was playing in the shop had vulgar lyrics on just about every song played. I wasn’t thrilled about the turnout of my cut at first, but it’s growing on me.

I brought my client in for a cut. While I was waiting I was browsing the shop. There were these jars of scented wax. I opened a few and smelled them, considering buying one. I took my coat off and sat down and this woman, Dorothy (evidently the shop owner) cameup to me and demanded that I give back what I’d stolen. I hadn’t stolen anything. She insisted that I empty my pockets. I emptied my pockets and dumped my purse onto the floor and although I’d proven that I didn’t steal a thing she insisted that I give the ghost inventory back. She insisted repeatedly that she saw me take this item. She called the cops, I called my employer. An officer came and searched me, found nothing, thanked me for my cooperation and left. My special needs client was clearly upset. I was humiliated. I did get a sad excuse for an apology but not for thebold faced lie that was told about me. My client says she will never step foot back inside Tangles salon. I think I’ll stick with Fiesta where I’m respected. Not cool Dorothy, not cool at all.

My daughter set up an appt with one of the girls working. She got a time and date, which was great.. The day she was suppose to go, we had an emergency so I asked my daughter to call them to see if she could get in earlier than her appointed time.. When my daughter called the person on the phone said they were closing at 4:30 and my daughter had an appt at 5:45 that evening.. My daughter told the person she had an appt with a person and said it was at 5:45.. The person told her that the person that was suppose to do her hair was not there and they were closing at 4:30.. I was highly upset because noone called my daughter and let her know. If my daughter had not called we would have made a trip there for nothing.. The sign on the door stated they were opened until 7 pm so why did they close at 4:30 that evening.. This happened Monday 4/1/13 and as of 4/2/13 no one has contacted us and my daughter left a number for the person to reach us.. I would not recommend this place to no one… Not dependable at all, and do not contact people who have appts… My name is Cherrie
