So I went to Tangled waves. The people were friendly but the particular hair stylist that did my hair was just…. well not good at listening. I ended up booking with Cathy. I dont know about the other hair stylists, but she was very heavy handed and hurt my head. And also ended up blaming me for the end result not being what I asked for, despite the fact that I DID provide a picture AND did my best to describe how exactly I wanted my hair done BEFORE she started on my hair. She even ended up leaving to get the colors she needed WHILE I WAS IN THE CHAIR. Even though I told her she needed a vibrant darker ruby red and black. And then she fought with me about what I wanted and only put red in my hair in the end (which washed out in less than a month). After her causing more damage to my hair by forcing a comb through it while it was wet after I told her not to, her blaming me for her inability to do the job, telling me I should chop off half of my long beautiful hair, and treating me like I was dumb, I politely told her to stop, paid $100 and left (they only accept cash or check). I am never going back, even if they reply to to this review. If after reading this you still are going to go to tangled waves, take my advice and don’t book with Cathy unless you want just a simple cut and don’t mind having your hair pulled. If you take this review seriously and decide you don’t want to go to tangled waves, I would recommend Salon Aura instead. The person that owns Salon Aura fixed my hair and did what Cathy at tangled waves did not. (Give great results and no excuses)

Great hair cut! Super friendly folks, even accepted me as a walk in.. I have always had a hard time finding someone who can cut my kind of curly hair but Macy did an exceptional job. I’ll definitely go back.

I can be quite picky and don’t trust many people with my hair because of its length. Macy did a great job listening to what I wanted, even when I was honest and said I probably will not be back in the normal time frame, I like to extend the time in between cuts/color. I explained to her exactly what I was looking for and she suggested root shading and all I can say is I LOVE IT!!!! She takes her time and is like a master artist when it comes to coloring! I can’t say enough great things about Tangled Waves and Macy, my hair stylist! I can be quite picky and don’t trust many people with my hair because of its length. Macy did a great job listening to what I wanted, even when I was honest and said I probably will not be back in the normal time frame, I like to extend the time in between cuts/color.
