I went for a half up half down hair for homecoming. I booked appointment 3 months in advanced, even called and confirmed my appointment frequently. When I get there, it turns out, they double booked me AND put me with someone who I didn’t schedule with. They didn’t tell me nor did they care that they moved my appointment 30 minutes later than scheduled. All I wanted was a simple pinned up half up half down with curls. The lady that did my hair was doing another girls hair at the time, so she kept running back and forth doing one sort of her hair and one part of mine. The real problem is that she didn’t do anything I asked for my hair. She questioned why I wanted it half up instead of all down. She used pins that didn’t match my hair color because “she wanted to”. I asked her to make it smooth and sleek, she proceeded to tell me “no it looks better rough”. It most certainly did not. I looked like the mad hatter. When I asked her to smooth it a little bit she said no. When I told her what kind of up do I wanted she said “she can’t do that” when it was two twists, anyone could have done it. THEN to top it all off, she tried to charge me 95 dollars because apparently it was “beyond her abilities” when I watched 4 girls walk out with the exact same hair, from her, the same day. I would not recommend going to this salon if you want any form of up do, they don’t take anything you want into consideration

Tangerine the Salon is a hidden gem. Dana, the owner, did my hair (a short style) for the first time. Within minutes of sitting in the chair, I knew I was in good hands. Her conscientious manner, attention to detail, and pleasing personality made the experience one I’ll soon be repeating . My only regret is not having found this place sooner.
