At first, I enjoyed coming in and getting sprays and using red light. The staff was always friendly as well. However, during covid I tried multiple times to reach out to tan republic to cancel my account. I had no idea when they opened back up because they did not notify us. I was moving out of state and wanted to make sure that my package was completely canceled because I would not be using the service. Finally, I saw a charge on my account for not only my $45 membership fee but also a random separate fee for $15. The second they charged me, I immediately called and asked if I could get a refund and to cancel my membership. They said there was nothing they could do (not even cancel the membership) and I had to email the owner. I emailed the owner two times and two weeks passed and I got no response. I called the salon again and they said they could cancel my membership (even though the first girl I talked to said they didn’t have the power to cancel the membership). But I would still have to talk to the owner about a refund. She said it should be no problem and that he would just have to “sign off on it real quick” and that they would be getting back to me within a day or two. I later called a THIRD TIME and they said that they wrote all my info down and the owner would be getting in contact with me ASAP. This was three weeks ago now and I still have not heard a word and still charged for services that I did not use and tried to cancel MULTIPLE times before I got charged. Save yourself the money and time and go somewhere else.

I’ve been to this location a few times and have always had a nice experience. This evening however was the exception. I entered the salon and was greeted immediately. I told the gal I would like one single tan. Of course she was obligated to attempt to up-sale. I declined and explained that I was being airbrushed the following day and that I just wanted one single tan. Her response with eye roll was, “One tan isn’t going to do anything for you”. Okay, thank you for your input. I would like one basic tan. She told me it was going to be $27.00 (and some change). I explained that I was in only a couple of day’s prior and it was about $27.00 for a single tan, goggles, and a 50% off little tanning packet. She quickly become very rude and said something flippant. I then said kindly that I would take my business elsewhere. I did just that. As a Mom it’s difficult to get away for even 20 mins and the last thing I really cared to deal with was rude customer service.

I called and made sure that I could use their groupon if I had already used a groupon for a different location, they said yes. When I get there I cannot use the groupon I bought. I ended up buying a spray tan with cash (paid extra for the darkest tan) and the manager told me I could have another free spray tan for the confusion.

I purchased a Groupon for the spray tan…needless to say, I was very disappointed. The machine would not start first off. I had to get the front desk employee to reset it a few times. Then it only sprayed my front side. Once again, had to get dressed and have the employee reset the machine in order to get my backside. When I came out I had nothing but streaks and drips…I went home and showered it all off immediately, thus wasting my money. The gal at the front desk reported they have been having the same problems with this machine for a while now….it didn’t appear this problem was going to be fixed as I was instead encourage to go to other Tan Republic locations instead. This was a total waste of money and time. I’m disappointed the employees knew their machine is broken and still allow customers to attempt to use it. What a waste.

Every location near my house closed overnight with no notifications. Despite numerous times the Orchards location had beds not working or new employees that were not trained I still used them for 2 years and paid $70 per month. When i couldnt find an open location near my house or work I asked that my last monthly fee be removed as I couldn’t use it and was told no. I still have a spray tan on my account but will not use this company. Tan Republic shut down 3 + locations with no notice but still wanted a 30 day notice to cancel my account. So many better places to tan!

This TR location is amazing now that it is under new management! The new management has taken a lot of steps to right the wrongs of the previous management – and it shows! While some people are still upset because they did not get cash refunds from the previous mngmt before they left, the new management did not leave those people high and dry and instead took (and continues to take) a financial hit by offering free and/or reduced services and products. As a new business owner, this can’t be easy on them, and yet I continue to witness their efforts, generosity, patience and genuine care in righting the wrongs of actions that are not even theirs to take responsibility for. The prices are fair and reasonable, the new staff are courteous and personable, the beds are clean and in excellent working order and YOU should go in there if you are looking to get a little color, get help with Excema or Psoriasis or if you are feeling a little under the weather with our lack of sunshine from time to time! The new management is amazing and you will not be disappointed! <3

Went in today with a Groupon…was told new owner has been fighting with Groupon because they should no longer be on the list for Tan republic locations who accept the Groupon. When I purchased the Groupon it had Battle Ground Tan Republic on the list of qualifying locations. I was told they would not accept the Groupon but could put the $29 toward the purchase of a $100 package…huh??? I don’t think so. Talk about an up sale bait and switch….so I should be punished because you have a dispute with Groupon…I told the customer service rep to let the new owner know they just lost a customer and many more as I spread the word…a good business owner would have recognized this was not my..the customers… fault and accepted the Groupon…I hope many more customers who purchased a Groupon for Tan Republic BG location…a Groupon that listed TAN REPUBLIC BATTLE GROUND as a participating provider….whose valid and legitimate purchase is denied…spread the word….bad business…

I absolutely love this place, the staff is awesome. Always helpful with lotion questions, bed suggestions, and they give a few perks which is really great for customers. I walk in never a wait, clean and just a relaxing atmosphere. I would recommend this tanning salon to anyone. Only BAD thing I can say is they never answer the phone. Other than that awesome !! Love the staff
