Critical: Cleanliness, Professionalism, QualityIf I could give ZERO stars I would. HORRIBLE service. I am always very polite, I clean up after myself, and sheesh- when I have to wait I ask the girls if they want anything from Starbucks (Starbucks is not too far and I always run there when I have to wait). There are many places in Greenville to tan, there is absolutely nothing special about this place. It’s not the best, it’s not the cleanest, it doesn’t have the best technology, and Sunshine Factory has better rates. I went here because it was closer to my home but I rather travel a bit further to not be treated like a second class citizen.I always wear sticky feet when I spray here because there was always dirty trek marks from sneakers on the bottom of the booth, and I rather not put my feet where it is clearly not clean. Today, after tanning I received a “courtesy call” from the “manager” Lindsay. She was incredibly condescending and was literally berating me and accusing me of leaving “shredded paper in the booth that could damage her machine.” She was literally talking down to me throughout the conversation, and kept calling me “honey” (cringe). I was defensive as I made certain to check the booth before I left (as I always do) and took my sticky feet off OUTSIDE of the booth, and yet, here I am essentially getting scolded for having “shredded paper in the booth.” I told her, there was nothing in the booth. She was insistent. She was rude. It was like she wanted me to apologize to her or something or she wanted to feel important. Perhaps wiping sweat off of acrylic just isn’t feeding her soul as one would hope. She has the type of personality where being a manager at the local yocal tanning salon makes her far above anyone else, lol. Kudos to her for being so accomplished. At first, I was very respectful until she continued to BADGER me over this alleged paper from my sticky foot. I said, “I am happy to take a photo of the booth after I use it” She tells me that “it’s not necessary” and continues to literally beat a dead horse. I offer to wipe the booth down after use and take a photo, just to ensure there is NOTHING on the booth. (What kind of business is ran this way???) She tells me that she’s going to make the decision to “cancel my account because she has the authority to do so.” Minutes later when I said, “customer service? Management? What kind of management THREATENS to cancel a customers membership because I was not willing to bow before you?” She says “oh you wanted to leave” and tried to switch words around. LOL no… I just didn’t want to be badgered by the tanning girl. I was COMPLETELY attacked. She was literally YELLING at me on the phone that there was “shredded paper” in the booth. She proceeds to tell me that she LOOKED IN THE GARBAGE (not kidding) and found my sticky feet shredded. I said, “of course, you literally rip them off of your feet. I say, “Hey, Lindsay, I’m really offended at the treatment I just received and would like to speak with the owner because it’s not right.” She SCREAMS “ABSOLUTELY NOT!!!” (verbatim) and I ask “why?” and I kid you not…. She literally says VERBATIM “THIS IS MY BUSINESS AND I MAKE THE DECISIONS” LOL. She was just the epitome of ignorant, uneducated, classless and a complete pathetic excuse of “management.” I’m waiting to hear back from the owners, as I was able to get their contact information from a mutual friend. I was going to wait to write this until I heard from them, but it’s been a couple of hours now. My advice to owners: if you want to survive in a post COVID world, where small businesses are SUFFERING and DYING do not allow beasts like that be the face of your organization. She was so concerned about “being right” she did not even consider how offensive she was being. I am already signed up and ready to go tan at the CORORATE tanning facility down the street – It’s my hopes that a corporate organization will be ran a lot better than the DISASTER I encountered. The Tan-N-Bed has two awesome locations in Greenville. I find that both locations are extremely well managed and maintained. I travel for work and have the oppurtinity to tan in a number of salon.The professionalizm in these location are unmatched by any other tanning salon that I have ever visited. The staff at Tan-N-Bed are always on their game!! I have always been impressed watching them with the guest as well as their knowledge of product and pricing!! The staff always takes the time to needed with each and every individual customer. You can tell that they are very well trained and seem to really care! I just can not believe that anyone can state that these salons are not clean. Never have I experience a dirty bed. Actually I find the opposite. It is always very clean and organized from the outside in. I have visited the Sunshine Factory twice and found it to be very impersonal. On the second visit I actually walked out because no one ever spoke to me! Personally I would not return to Sunshine Factory. The Tan-N-Bed is hands down the best place to tan in Greenville!!!

This is false advertising. The store on Greenville blvd isn’t even open anymore. They’ve not even mentioned on their website or social media. There’s always something broken or out of stock at store on Evans. They change policies without making the customer aware.
