I visited Tamar Dupre Salon for the first time on Monday. I liked the atmosphere, it was laid back and they played good music. All the stylists seem to have a good relationship with each other and it was fun to sit there while I waited for my colors to process. I wanted to do something fun and festive for the holidays so I saw Sam who specializes in bold colors. I showed her a few pictures of what I was looking for and she did such an excellent job. I was a little chilly while my color was processing and since my hair had to be washed with cold water they even offered me a fleece blanket. I thought that was above and beyond service. They also offer you coffee, wine, or beer which was a plus because I knew that I was going to be there for a while. I expected it to be very pricey since it was on Main Street and I actually found it to be quite affordable for the work I had done. I will definitely return to the salon in the future! Thank you, Sam, for making my vision a reality!! And thank you Mariah and Tyler for the laughs 🙂

I did not have a good experience with Jen at Tamar Dupre Salon. During the appointment she left me in the chair and let someone else start doing my hair while she went and picked up her starbucks delivery from outside. She was gone for a while someone continued the style. In addition, I asked for curtain bangs which she told me I shouldn’t do because I don’t maintain my hair. And that she wanted “her hair to look good” so if I wasn’t going to maintain then not to get my bangs cut. I explained I was a medical student and did not have time to come in once a month to get it done and after a little back and forth she agreed to do it. My hair style did not have curtain bangs like I showed her in the picture. I felt uncomfortable most of the appointment due to the unprofessional and inappropriate conversations and it was not an enjoyable experience at all. I have gotten my haircut at several different salons whenever I could and have always been met by a friendly face, but not this time. I typically do not leave reviews but wanted to in hopes I could spare someone of the experience I had. If you are looking for a relaxing experience this was not the place. I will never go back.

I have been going to Tamar dupre salon for 1.5 years and I always have an amazing experience. I originally went to have my hair color fixed and Jen did a beautiful job. She fixed my balayage. I had my wedding hair and makeup done at the salon and I could not have envisioned a more prefect experience. I go quite often to get my roots touched up and I feel like everyone that works there, especially Jen is so kind and compassionate about what they do. I look forward to my visits with Jen every 4-6 weeks!!!!

Excellent environment with friendly staff and instantly felt welcomed by everyone. Salons aren’t usually my choice for a cut but they offered me a beer and hot towel for my face while washing my hair so they won me over quickly. Go see Sam and treat yoself!
