I am so glad I found Hair Studio Taka! I’ve always had long, frizzy, wavy hair that was hard to manage and was looking for a makeover. Ippei was very kind and understanding and recommended a haircut that not only would suit me better but would be easy enough for me to style at home.

I drive from NYC to get my hair cut done by Taka. He is extremely professional and his haircut makes everyday styling very easy while chic. Also he doesnt recommend over-doing stuff by upselling which is very common at any salons to do more (colors, perms etc) and honestly shares his view on whats best for my hair. There is a long wait but get on the waitlist! It is worth it!

He gave me a fresh haircut while keeping the length that I want, styling it with layers that added movement to my hair. His hair color suggestion was on point and it turned out just the way I wanted. Came here for the first time for a badly needed trim. Great experience like others had mentioned they take their time with the consult to understand what you want and ask along the way if the cut looks okay. Very gentle when brushing my hair I’ve gone to other places that pull on your hair when they brush causing breakage. The blowout was wonderful as well looked so good after. Will be back in a few months for highlights i can’t wait! Also covid precautions were good, felt very safe and very clean.

I have tried several Japanese Hair Salons in Fort Lee. Taka is the best. I always have simple hair cut, but simple style does not mean easy. Ippei did an excellent job on my hair. He is super professional. I am very very happy about my hair, which looks shiny and much more pretty than uncut. I will do all my hair in Taka in the future and probably will try more hair styles with the reliable stylist in Taka.

I would NEVER trust anyone else with my hair. Each time I leave Taka Hair Studio, I emerge with FLAWLESS hair. They have the best price for GK keratin treatments that I have found across New Jersey, and they do a better job than other salons where I paid close to $300 for the same service. The meticulous attention to detail, combined with the high value placed on client input and opinion has placed Taka at the top of my list. I will ALWAYS recommend this salon to anyone who should ask me. I cannot be more excited to return for balayage highlights in a few months!

I LOVE this hair salon! Not only they have a wonderful skill with very attentive consultations but also great customer service. Everyone was so nice too. The best part is your hairstylist wash your hair! I always didn’t like the system that the other salons often have assistant to wash your hair so eventually you ended up paying extra. They’ve got yummy snack from customers and kindly shared with us too. How nice they are! I always thought that I have to go to nyc to get nice haircut but now I’m very happy to come here to get my haircut done. Thank you so much!
